We met in middle school. In 7th grade we had a few classes together and got to know each other. Our lockers were right next to each other. During 8th grade we had an English class together. Our teacher gave us an assignment to give a presentation on a simile or metaphor of our choosing. Pierre chose "easy as pie". At the end of Pierre's presentation he asked the class if this was a simile or metaphor. More than half the class had their hand raised, including myself. Whoever answered correctly was given a Jolly Rancher by the student presenting. Pierre called on me. I answered correctly and he threw me a Jolly Rancher. I thought he chose me because he liked me and I had a crush on him. When he sat back down at his desk, I slid him a note asking if he wanted to be my boyfriend. He wrote me back saying yes! That was May 18, 2005. We were inseparable after that. It didn't take long for us to know that we were in love. We have been talking about and planning this wedding day for many years! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you all in May!!
