We met in high school during our sophomore year through mutual friends who ended up bringing us into a friend group. It took us about a year before we started flirting, but we both had no idea we were mutually interested in each other until Joshua asked if we could meet in the library in the middle of junior year. After that we began to get into a lot of trouble together. We stayed in contact throughout the summers and hung out occasionally with and without our friend group but it was always awesome. After high school ended there was a bit of a disconnection between us, but after six months to a year we began texting again and have been joined at the hip ever since.

A few months after our reconnection we were already talking about living together, marriage, and even future children. Josh must’ve barely been able to contain his excitement because the entire day he kept telling me that he had a surprise for me. I had gotten to his house after a hard day of work and he already had a comfortable chair and mixed drink ready for me. After giving me a chance to talk and vent about my day he told me that he had something that’d make it ten times better. He left the room, leaving me curious, and when he came back he proceeded to kneel down onto one knee and opened the box to a ring. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing. I put down my drink saying yes and excitedly got up to hug him. It was official, we were engaged! We’re so happy and excited to begin this new chapter together. ❤️
