One day, while attending Rachel’s church, I happened to sit next to one of her friends. There was announcement made about a singles gathering at the church. Rachel’s friend turned to me and asked if I was single. With a confused look on my face I say, “yes.” That same day, I received a message from her pastor saying he knew an amazing girl on his staff who had a deep love for God. I then looked through her Instagram page. I liked what I saw, so I messaged her—basically giving her my entire resume. Well, it was not an actual resume, but an introduction filled with facts about who I was. I have never been good with pick up lines, so I thought the best thing I could do was simply be myself and be honest. She responded, and I could not have been more excited. I asked her if I could take her out. We had our first coffee date on Friday, November 8th, 2024. The rest is history.

He slid in my DMs, then took me to coffee, now we're here. But let's talk about the details... In the fall of 2024 when my pastor asked me if I'd be interested in a friend of his, I said 'why not'. Some time passed, and then on Thursday, October 31, 2024 Austin slid in my DM's. He asked if he could take me out to coffee on a Friday at the top of November. I said "I'd love that", not realizing 'a Friday at the top of November' was the next day. I said "this man moves quick." However, a week later he took me to a coffee and dessert bar (it's as if he already knew me). I only planned on giving him an hour of my time-- an hour passed, two hours passed, three hours passed... And let's just say... he's taken me out every weekend since.
