Bride
The youngest of two children, Sarah grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and studied English at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside. Sarah is an avid foodie and is always cooking new recipes and exploring new restaurants. She is always checking out local events, trivia nights, and farmer's markets around Chicago. Sarah loves Asian food, singing, helping others, drawing, cats, and picnics at the beach. With a warm heart, creative soul, and curious spirit, she brings joy and vibrancy to everything she does.
Groom
As the eldest of seven brothers, Jon has always embraced the role of leader, teammate, and occasional referee. He grew up in Naperville, IL, surrounded by sports, chaos, and camaraderie, forming lifelong bonds with friends and family. A proud University of Illinois Civil Engineering alum, Jon values his great friendships, good conversations, and finding humor in the everyday moments.
Father of the Bride
Intuitive and confident, Jim grew up in North Royalton, Ohio. Graduating from Case Western Reserve University, he was a president and chemist in the world of custom rubber mixing but has since retired. He enjoys woodworking, chess, sports, travel, and fine dining. Sarah's favorite childhood memories with her Dad include sitting on his shoulders during parades, playing catch in the backyard, and participating in take-your-child-to-work day. He and Stacey live in the home they built in North Central, Bridgeport, West Virginia with their kitten Elsie.
Father of the Groom
Paul is the fun-loving father of seven boys. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI and transplanted to the western suburbs of Chicago at a young age. He is a lifelong sports enthusiast, and has shared many life lessons through the games he's shared. He has been a coach and a mentor throughout all of Jon's and his brothers' lives. When he is not on the field or court, he may be jet setting to Florida for the weekend, or heading to a concert with his loving wife. He currently lives in Naperville, IL with his wife and is working on getting the last two sons out of his house.
Mother of the Bride
Thoughtful and attentive, Stacey grew up in Parma, Ohio and has a passion for bunnies, cats, and vintage decor and linens. She has a degree in Culinary Arts and Early Childhood Education. Stacey enjoys gardening, teaching home cooking classes, and cooking and entertaining for friends. Stacey and Jim are both certified Master Gardeners, love to travel, and have lived in Northeast Ohio, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. They have been married 38 years, and cherish their years raising Sarah and her brother Michael, who now lives in Seattle, Washington.
Mother of the Groom
A proud mother to seven sons, Kerry is the stronghold of Jon's family. Born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, she is the youngest of six siblings. She is a dedicated first grade teacher at Saints Peter and Paul School and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Her reliability, strength, and nurturing nature have guided Jon in taking on life's opportunities and challenges. She is Jon's and his brother's biggest cheerleader and supporter in life. In her limited free time she enjoys a good book and long walks.
Man of Honor
Witty and insightful, Morgan is the best friend of the Bride. Morgan and Sarah met in 2009. They spend hours joking and talking. Former in-laws, Sarah and Morgan became close after taking interior design courses together in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Morgan enjoys boating and spending time with his family. He currently lives in Chicago with his husband and their dog, Ludo.
Best Man
Randy and Jon have been friends since grade school. They bonded early participating on the same sports teams, and with Jon at running back and Randy out front blocking it was a winning combination. From playing on the same teams to working their first restaurant job together - shoutout to Johnny Rockets - Randy has been a constant in Jon's life. His loyalty, sense of humor, and big personality make him the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. He currently lives in Chicago with his wife Mikayla, a small family of pets, and he's always up for grabbing a drink, hitting the links, or catching a game.
Bridesmaid
Empathetic and optimistic; Desi is the bride's cousin. Sarah grew up with Desi, often spending time together in Cleveland during summer breaks and holidays. Every time they talk, they still find ways that they are kindred spirits, having the same interests and values. Sarah always feels heard when interacting with her. Desi loves animals, alternative music, and nature. Ask her about her phenomenal nail artwork!
Groomsman
Kyle and Jon go way back to high school where Kyle starred on the soccer team. They first connected as friends through sports and social activities. They also attended the University of Illinois together. After college, Kyle and Jon kept their strong friendship going in Chicago. Kyle's quick wit, sense of adventure, and dependability make him the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. Kyle now lives back in Jon's hometown of Naperville with his wife Vanessa, and two young children, Emma and Cameron. Kyle is only playing golf now, willing to try a new craft beer, and plans to instill his soccer skills to his children.
Bridesmaid
Practical and honest; Alexandra lives in Cleveland with her husband and three children. She and Sarah grew up together and now find themselves the keepers of some of the family's most coveted recipes. Alex is a huge fan of Cleveland sports teams, can extreme coupon with the best of them, and is always thinking of her children first. With many memories together of chatting in the kitchen over coffee or cooking holiday meals with the family, Alex never fails to motivate and inspire Sarah.
Groomsman
Brian and Jon met in 2005 when Jon transferred schools and joined the football team. Brian quickly became one of Jon's first friends at the new school. Over the years, Brian's proven to be extremely inventive and entrepreneurial. He has a background in chemical engineering and knows more about plastics than most of us knew there was to know. His mix of brains, creativity, and curiosity make him the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. Brian currently lives in Chicago with his wife Arin and enjoys producing his own beats, fast cars, smooth boats, and making the most out of life.
Bridesman
The Bride's second cousin. Sarah and Clay grew up dueling Pokemon on Gameboys, hitting the clubs together, and being general goofballs, especially at Halloween. Nowadays, they enjoy hitting the clubs together. Clay loves spicy food, dark humor, and self-improvement. Ask him about his pet snake!
Groomsman
Tom and Jon first met in high school through football and friends. Their friendship really hit its stride in adulthood. Tom is the guy you want on your trivia team or as a bar buddy thanks to his impressive knowledge of alcohol, random facts, and his uncanny math skills. A talented bass player, Tom is always down for live music, late-night food runs, and exploring all the corners of Chicago. He's equal parts thoughtful, hilarious, and dependable basically the kind of friend everyone hopes to have.
Bridesman
The bride's second cousin and closest to in age of all the cousins, Chris went to school in Twinsburg, Ohio and grew up in Cleveland with Sarah and all their cousins. A Groom-To-Be, he is set to be married this August! Chris enjoys travel, aquatics, film making, and trying to live a more holistic and natural lifestyle. He currently lives in Tyler, Texas with his fiancée their two sons, Roman and Isaac.
Groomsman
Ryan and Jon met in high school, bonding over sports and a shared enthusiasm for a good time. He's got a historical knack for comebacks and one-liners and no one is safe from sharing a smile or laugh. A proud University of Iowa alum and a die-hard Michigan football fan, Ryan's always game for a round of golf or hanging out for the big sporting events. He's also a great brother and a fun-loving uncle. Ryan brings the energy, the jokes, and the kind of friendship everyone hopes to have.
Officiant
Susie has been Jon's aunt all of his life. She brings her signature warmth, energy, and charm to everything she does—which is exactly why we couldn’t imagine anyone else officiating our ceremony. Recently retired, she’s been married to her husband Fazy for over 20 years and is the proud mom of her son, Rick. She’s fluent in German, full of fun facts, and always ready with a story or bit of wisdom. Susie has been a meaningful part of our lives throughout our relationship, and we’re so grateful to have her help us enter into this next chapter.
Groomsman
David and Jon go way back to grade school. Playing football and basketball together, there were many carpooled rides to games listening to Bruce Springsteen. After attending high school together, David and Jon were Freshman roommates at the University of Illinois and history was made. David is a talented writer and guitarist, and can connect on a personal level with anyone. His well-read, sharp, and thoughtful personality makes him the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. David is also tying the knot this year, making 2025 a year that's truly one for the books.
Usher
Sarah's cousin, Alex went to school in North Olmstead, Ohio and is extremely clever and candid. He enjoys photography, music, and Entomology (the study of insects!). Alex has an amazing talent for growing plants of all kinds! Ask him about the different kinds of plants he has grown, which include Fig, Pineapple, Cirtus Fruit, and Passion Flowers! He currently lives in North Olmstead with his family.
Usher
Tim is the third in the lineup of seven brothers. He works at Trader Joe’s, where his people skills and positivity are always on full display. Tim’s big into fitness, fantasy sports, and enjoying the little things in life—whether that’s a great conversation, a night out with friends, or a well-timed joke. With an active social life and a laid-back vibe, Tim is someone who brings energy, humor, and heart to everything he does. Ask him about his favorite new Trader Joe's products!
Usher
Sam is the fourth of seven brothers and our resident outdoorsman. He’s been living the Colorado life these past few years, fully embracing the mountains, fresh air, and everything nature has to offer. Recently, he built out an Astrovan to live the van life—because of course he did—and is always working on some new project, whether it’s building, fixing, or tinkering. Sam’s all about good vibes, laid-back adventures, and making the most of the great outdoors. He’s the kind of brother who reminds you to slow down and enjoy the ride.
Usher
Chris is the fifth of seven brothers—and the self-proclaimed favorite child, nephew, and cousin (just ask him, he’ll tell you). His confidence is mostly for show, but his sense of humor and ability to make people laugh is the real deal. Chris is always up for a good time, whether it’s trivia night, a beach day, playing pickleball, or just kicking back with a few beers and good company. He brings the fun, the sarcasm, and the kind of easygoing energy that makes him the kind of brother everyone hopes to have.
Usher
Peter is the sixth of seven brothers and currently holding it down in Columbus, Ohio, where he works as a superintendent overseeing the construction of new data centers. He’s a guy who likes his trucks big, his music country, his weekends filled with sports and golf, and his work done right. Peter has a strong work ethic, a laid-back vibe, and a no-nonsense approach that gets things done—on the job site and in life. He’s the brother you can always count on. Ask him how he liked living in Columbus!
Usher
Charlie is the seventh—and youngest—of the brothers, and also Jon's godson, which makes having him in the wedding extra special. He’s got a competitive streak and a love for sports, currently holding down the hot corner as the starting third baseman in his senior season on the varsity baseball team. When he’s not on the field, you’ll find him playing video games, hanging out with friends, or talking sports. As the youngest, he’s grown up surrounded by chaos, but he’s handled it all like a champ—and grown into someone we’re all proud of.
Flower-Eating Boy
*Unable to Attend* Adopted by the Bride in 2019. Goofy, shy, and gentle; Ari was the product of a family's housecat having a one-night stand with a very large, very orange, stray Tomcat. Ari loves sitting in windows, chewing on crinkly objects, and watching Finding Nemo. Ask him when he's going to stop jumping on the counter!
Ring Chaser
*Unable to Attend* Adopted by the Bride and Groom in April 2025, Kit was a member of the extended LaScala family before needing to be rehomed after a fire. Incredibly loving, curious, and confident; she enjoys chasing her tail, playing tag with Ari, and climbing on top of sleeping humans.
