Our story began long before we even realized it. We both grew up in the same Cape Cod town, crossing paths from grade school through middle school and into high school, never quite knowing what the future held. We shared mutual friends, similar interests, and countless moments in the same places. Our lives were unknowingly intertwined, on a trajectory that would eventually spark each other’s interest. In 2014, Jason found the courage to ask Laryssa to their Junior Prom, and what started as a simple friendship soon grew into something more. After a fun summer and more time spent together, we officially started dating that December, marking the true beginning of our journey as a couple. From there, our connection quickly deepened. We became inseparable for the rest of high school, sharing milestones like Senior Prom and making the most of every moment together. It didn’t take long for us to realize that what we had was truly special, something worth holding onto and building a future around. After graduation, life took us in different directions, with college and the military creating distance between us. But even miles apart, our bond only grew stronger. We held on to the anticipation of being together again, and eventually that time came when we began our next chapter in Alaska. Living together again only strengthened our love and confirmed what we had always felt; this was a forever kind of thing. When Jason’s military service came to an end, we made our way back home to Boston in the summer of 2023, ready to solidify the foundation of our future together. In November of 2024, our engagement marked the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in our love story. What felt like one of the happiest days of our lives was only a glimpse of the love and celebration that await us on our wedding day. Looking back, it feels like our lives were always leading us here, from growing up in the same small town to becoming high school sweethearts, and now preparing to say “I do.” We are so grateful for the journey that brought us together, and we can’t wait to celebrate this moment with the people who have been part of our love story along the way.
