July 15th! Being a holiday weekend, they can’t extend the discounted rates any longer than that. If our hotel block doesn’t work for you, please let us know and we can help you search for other accommodations! We will have a shuttle running from Hotel Ithaca to our house on the night of the 2nd, so let us know if you’re staying downtown but at another place.
July 25th, please!
Of course! Gluten free options will be available anyway, as a result of our own preferences. However, if you have a specific request beyond that - please let us know when you send your invitation in. We'd be happy to find alternatives as needed so that everyone can enjoy themselves!
Yes! This area is not commuter-friendly unless you want a hefty workout. If you’re spending time in downtown iIthaca you’ll be fine without one, but we live about 25 mins southeast of town. You could also carpool to split costs!
Unfortunately, we're not confident you'll find many drivers in the direct vicinity of the house. However, there are definitely some in downtown Ithaca if you need one to get around that area!
We learned of this, "Mountain Casual/Cocktail" dress code that we're pretty into. Thanks, Clare ;) It's basically an outdoorsy version of business casual. A google search will steer you right! The night of the wedding, we plan to have a fire and hang out well into the evening, so pack a light jacket and some comfy shoes to throw on later! To check out the forecast, search for Berkshire, NY. Our weather is often quite different from Ithaca due to their proximity to the lake. Outside of wedding clothes, we definitely recommend comfortable, casual clothing. Ithaca isn't known for its formal vibe. Definitely pack for a hike so you can check out the many beautiful gorges in the area!
Great question. We live on a fairly quiet country road, so on-street parking shouldn't be a problem. We'll plan to have signs or something to help direct, and can utilize our driveway for a few cars.
We’d love to have you! While our house space is limited and mostly spoken for, everyone is welcome to pitch a tent and camp out in the backyard rather than drive home. Just Let us know so we can keep space open and help you park your car in a more permanent spot.
Most likely.
Brian, Laryssa and family are planning some things to do depending on when people are in town. Once we get everyone’s RSVP’s, we can reach out to anyone who’s staying for more than the one night with any plans we might be making. However, we encourage everyone to explore the area how they see fit! Lots of wineries, cideries, breweries, the lake, hikes, etc. to enjoy. Spending Saturday or Sunday morning at Ithaca Farmers Market is worth the trip, so we recommend checking that out too! It’s rated one of the best in the country. (Yes, country not county!)
Aside from your formal invitations, Laryssa and Brian will keep you in the loop via email of any changes, updates, or things you should you know. We'll also post these updates on the website!
Feel free to reach out to Laryssa and Brian with any and all questions! We wanted to send save the dates and set up our website early so y'all could start planning now. Hearing from you will help us make sure everyone's on the same page, and bring to light any things we might need to share with our lovely guests!
