The last two years have been challenging for many, but for us they've been our favorite! Adam and I met about a couple months before the shut down in January 2020. During that time we quickly grew close and really developed an understanding of patiences, distance and companionship. Between working 16-hour shifts for Adam and being stuck at home for Paige, we both learned to cherish the moments spent together.
So what do you do in quarantine? You pick up a new hobby. That November, Adam worked to receive his motorcycle endorsement and bought his very first Harley Davidson. It wasn't long after that when I decided I didn't want to ride behind a man, but rather beside one. So come May 2021, another Harley entered the picture. Proud owners, we enjoy the hobby together riding across town to grab lunch, or taking the backroads to the east side of the state. Any excuse to get out and go where the rubber meets the road.
2021, the year of weddings. Between Adam and I there were 7 total weddings to go to. One of our most memorable ones was in Los Angeles, California. It was July and we decided to fly to LA, a place neither of us have ever been before, and attend Adam's high school rugby friend's wedding. Out of surprise, Adam extended the trip by one more day after the wedding so we could explore more of LA, like I was begging him to do days earlier. Little did I know, Adam had another idea. Surrounded by friends and the newly married couple themselves, we stood on Santa Monica Pier as Adam got down on one knee. It took about a half a second for me to catch on and ecstatically say yes!
So here we are. With our closest friends and family about to share a moment we'll remember for the rest of our lives. Adam and I are truly grateful for all the love and support we have received from everyone of you and we are so happy you are here to see us make this lifelong commitment to each other. As of November 2021, Adam and I finally bought our first house together in Caledonia, MI! Receiving the keys in January 2022, we are ecstatic to have found a place we can call home right after the wedding. Until then, I have begun my "Honey To-do" list and Adam has graciously began fixing things. So once the wedding is over... know there is one more party to be had!
