After feeling overwhelmed and stressed with planning a "traditional" wedding in MI, we decided our biggest "want" besides getting married was spending intentional time with family and friends. After a lot of discussion, we decided to get legally married 11/7/2024 with close family and friends and then wanted to plan a 1 year celebration with all our loved ones in Mexico!
Yes! Her name is Christine Roney and she is happy to assist you in booking your trip! Chill Vacations
This is totally up to you! Our ceremony & reception will be on 11/7/2025 which is on a Friday. Guests can choose how long or short they would like to stay!
YES!!!! Please make sure you have an up to date passport, and remember, your passport must be valid (not expired) for 6 months after your trip. Ex: if your trip is in November, your passport cannot expire in December etc.
On 11/6/2025 we will be having a "rehearsal dinner" which is a 2 hour private event that all our guests will be invited to. We will be having apps, dinner and dessert. On 11/7/2025 we will be having our beach ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour which will have appetizers and drinks, and then a reception from 7p-11p which will have appetizers, Buffett style dinner, dessert and wedding cake, along with open bar. After the reception, feel free to join the bride and groom at the night club at the resort for an after party.
If it was indicated on your invitation that you can have a guest, please feel free to bring a plus one to the beach party and vow renewal. Also, you may bring whoever you want to Mexico with you, as this can also be a vacation/getaway for you and your family/friends. If your invitation does not indicate "guest" we may not have room for extras at ceremony & reception.
The resort will be family friendly.
Cocktail dress attire, please avoid white, cream and sage green! Link for Inso: https://pin.it/3voauy0bZ
We will miss you. We know that due to our choice to have a destination wedding, some of our favorite people won't be able to make it. We would love to celebrate with you before or after and plan to spend intentional time with our loved ones even if they cannot make it to the ceremony.
Our resort will be all inclusive! Although tips are technically included in your resort package, please bring cash to tip our amazing resort staff.
The only suggestion I have is to look at the resort website for any dress codes and restrictions. Some restaurants will require men to have dressier pants (linen pants etc) and do not allow jeans or shorts.
