Both Scott and Megan were giving their last real chance at finding their person. Happenstance would have it and both connected on Facebook Dating Post Pandemic. The couple decided to dine at a local Tex/Mex Eatery where they remained awkwardly silent for the first 30-ish minutes of their date. Both felt a connection immediately, but continued on with their fabled date. The night would conclude in the early hours of the next day, where Scott would hesitantly ask for a first kiss under the stars of a cold December morning. It did not take Scott and Megan very long to realize that they were the ones for each other. Megan moved into Scott's place after dating for just under a year. During that time, Megan rarely spent anytime at her own apartment and it would eventually lead to her moving in so soon. Shortly after Megan moving in, Scott wanted to make it official and ask Joel and Leslie if it was ok for him to propose. Nervous as hell, Scott asked Leslie and she immediately started to tear up and said yes. After Leslie's approval, it was the bigger test, good old Papaw Joel. He worked up the courage and asked him if he could have his daughter's hand in marriage. It did not take long for Papaw to come to decision and he said "Welcome to the family Son!". Elated by this, the next task was to set up a date to pop the question. In a tear-filled proposal, in front his kids, Scott officially asked Megan to be his partner in crime, his one in a million, and most importantly, his other half on October 28th, 2023. In a moment that felt like it was forever for Scott, Megan joyfully told him yes and the rest is history. The couple after the wedding will move on to looking at buying their first house and adding some additional family members to the household, a couple fur babies.
