Larry and Alicia both graduated from the same high school in 2011, but never spoke one word to each other. A few years later, a friend invited Alicia to come to church with her. It was at that church service on February 24, 2016 that Larry and Alicia reconnected. About a month later, on March 25, they had their first date. According to the words in Alicia's journal that night, Larry had "left a lasting mark on her heart already." They dated over the next several months and made it official on a very special Valentine's Day in 2017. As they continued to grow closer and more in love, it was clear that this was no ordinary relationship. Over the next couple years, they paved the way for the engagement and life they are now enjoying.
Larry had been planning this special day since about February 2019. He first contacted his friend Emily to work out all the details. Together, they both came up with a plan for a fake photoshoot. Around mid-July, Larry and Alicia would be "asked" to do a photo shoot in order to help a friend launch a business. Alicia fell for the story, and a few weeks later, they both dressed up and went to a beautiful beachy park for the shoot. After taking so many beautiful pictures, they walked down a boardwalk that was in clear view of the woods behind them... with both of their families hidden in these woods, Larry got down on one knee and asked "Are you happy? YES! Will you marry me? YES!" Of course Alicia immediately said yes (easiest decision she's ever made!). Larry truly planned the most magical and unforgettable day!
