They shared many jokes via FaceTime before February 3, 2024. On that day, Brittney insisted that Kia and Roddrick meet in person. Once they finally met, the connection was extremely strong! You could tell from the way Roddrick insisted he inserted himself in every room Kia was in, and how Kia's smile was doing overtime, no breaks, no days off! God was ready for them to meet, but wanted them to prepare themselves individually for the love he wanted them to share. Fast forward to May 13, 2024, Dee advertised how good of a person Roddrick was to Kia so hard, you would have thought he was a used car salesman on commission. Well, Kia finally brought the car and decided to contact Roddrick. They communicated via FaceTime and phone for 4 months, while Roddrick was deployed. As soon as he returned, he asked Kia to officially be his girlfriend (even though he already claimed her as his wife) on September 14, 2024. They did a great job of proving love has no time zone. With Roddrick living in Arkansas and Kia living in Texas, they stayed resilient through the challenges of a long-distance relationship. May 21, 2025, Roddrick and Kia would be closing the distance, and now instead arguing over thermostat settings (68 vs 71)! June 28 2025, a day no one would forget because Kia made sure she let everyone know she was no longer right-handed! Roddrick popped the question, and without hesitation Kia said yes! The Larks became one on September 14th 2025, reciting beautiful vows to each other that brought tears to anyone who was present.
