Matty and Larissa first met in June 2016 at the Keys nightclub in Yarm. Matthew approached Larissa by claiming he thought she worked in the local curry house, the Raj Bari! Which she in fact did not. From that very night, Matty declared they would one day be married — and he was right. In November 2023, while travelling in the Bahamas, he proposed, and now they cannot wait to celebrate their wedding with you. Their story has been shaped by time apart and time together. Shortly after meeting that summer, Larissa moved to York to study at university, and their relationship continued through countless visits, with many fond memories of Matty making the trip down to see her. When Larissa returned home after graduation, they began the next chapter by moving in together, and now they are happily settled in their second home in Eaglescliffe. Along the way, they have shared a love of distance running and hiking together, travelling the world, exploring good food, and caring for animals — especially their beloved dog, Kobe, and now Fig. Their wedding at Grantley Hall will be a celebration not only of their love story, but also of the adventures, laughter, and passions that have brought them here.
