FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The wedding attire is formal. We respectfully request that women cover their shoulders if wearing thin strap/strapless dresses in the church.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

While the ceremony and reception will be indoors, welcome reception cocktails will be outside in the garden terrace, weather permitting.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 25th at the latest!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please keep attendance limited to those who are listed on your invitation.

Question

What time will the church ceremony start?

Answer

The wedding ceremony starts at 4:00 PM. Please arrive BEFORE 4:00 PM, as late entry might interfere with the groom and bride entrances which start at the back of the church.

Question

Is there anything I should know about the Russian Orthodox wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will last around an hour and fifteen minutes. It is expected that all in attendance stand for the duration of the ceremony. If standing for prolonged periods is difficult, there will be chairs provided on the perimeter of the church. We recommend you wear comfortable, but appropriate shoes to the ceremony. We respectfully request that women cover their shoulders if wearing strapless dresses in the church.

Question

Can I take photos of the ceremony?

Answer

We do not mind if you take photos, but we ask that you keep all phones silenced and keep flash off. We recommend keeping the phone away and just enjoying the experience. We will have professional photographers in attendance, and we want them to be able to capture moments as best as possible!

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, there will be two buses taking guests from the Hampton Inn Downtown Brooklyn Hotel and Indigo Williamsburg to the ceremony and finally to the reception venue. Seats on the buses are first-come first-served.

Question

If I drive myself to the wedding, where can I park?

Answer

There is street parking available on the Upper East Side near the church, and meters are suspended on Sundays; but please arrive early with ample time to find parking. The MyMoon reception venue also has street parking available, and there are two parking garages nearby. The closest garage is located at 170 N 11th St in Williamsburg, the Google Maps Address is Bedford Avenue Garage - Lot #27
