We actually met on Tinder on May 1, 2019. Danny opened up with a joke about forming a heavy metal band (I mentioned in my bio that I love to sing but can't hold a note to save my life); he said our band name should be "Sick Petting Zoo" (something I still don't understand). Literally 30 minutes into our first conversation, Danny mentioned he was a cop and my first reaction was "Marry me??". I said it was a joke but he said "or is it???" and the rest is history. Never did I think I'd find my soulmate on Tinder; nor did I think I'd ask a man to marry me within 30 minutes of our first conversation; but I wouldn't change it for the world.
I knew Danny was my person after our first date. Why? I can’t tell you exactly. But there was that gut feeling, it was a sense of calm & ease. That being said, as I watched his relationship with Landon grow and flourish, I knew I didn’t need or want anyone else in our lives. Danny is the man that I never knew I needed. He’s an entire goober, he annoys me to no end but at the end of that annoyance, he always makes me smile. Not a day goes by that he can’t make me laugh. Danny is the kind of man that I would hope my son becomes when he grows up. Someone humble, caring, courageous, and the kindest heart of anyone I know. I am grateful and blessed to become his wife. I cant wait to spend forever with him. Something felt different from the moment we started dating. It felt natural and like I knew I found my certain someone. Larissa and I are so similar yet so different, it just works so well. Everything became easy. Life is fun. I always knew she was the one, even before we officially started dating. I found peace whenever I was with Larissa and/or Landon.
We were setting off all kinds of fireworks at the house with my mom, dad, Grammie, and Landon. I felt like Danny was acting strange, as he was being a little distant, but we were having a great evening!! For the last firework, we took it up to our culdesac because it was supposed to be the biggest one (it wasn't). Danny was standing to my left and I saw him move backward out of the corner of my eye, I went to look at him and he was on one knee!!! I honestly don't even think he got to ask me, I just screamed and hugged him. My family was so concerned, they didn't know what happened. It was a great time. The most annoying thing was she knew that too. Constantly asking when I would propose, making it harder and harder to plan a special surprise. One morning, before and early shift during the summertime. I had to wake up at 3am to get ready for work. Larissa woke me up that morning before my alarm went off. She cooked me a full breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs... at 3am!! I knew that it was time to ask her because I know that she loves me enough to cook breakfast for me at 3 am, when I know that Im not even capable enough to do that for anyone else! So I asked her to marry me on the 4th of July, the day before her birthday. I deceide to add a little more fireworks to the large some we had bought to have our own show durring the pandemic, and got down on one knee after the finale. Best decision ever.
