Larissa and Cody almost met in September of 2018, but Cody took too long to text Larissa back when he got her number, so she didn’t end up responding. Then in January 2019 their mutual friend Rebecca talked them into going out, Cody still had Larissa’s number although she didn’t remember him at all. He cooked her dinner and they talked for their first date, and they slowly started seeing each other more and more until on Valentines day Cody asked Larissa to be his girlfriend.

At the end of July while Larissa was in Los Angeles, Cody decided it was the perfect time to surprise her. Although her schedule there was busy and changed constantly and Cody had no idea what days she would be available, he booked a flight to LA to surprise her, trusting that things would work out to give him the opportunity. She miraculously got a very minor cold at the last minute and got her appointments for the weekend cancelled right when Cody arrived in LA. He told her he wanted to order flowers delivered to her in order to get her address, and then delivered them personally along with a carton of her favorite ice cream and the engagement ring of her dreams.
