In the summer of '22, Larissa and her best friend Anna decided to have a little fun with Hinge. Living in different cities—Austin and New York—they thought, why not switch locations and see if they could find dates for each other? That’s how Erik entered the picture. After a thorough screening process, a silly little questionnaire, and an unexpectedly convincing Mario impersonation, Erik passed Anna’s test and agreed to go on a date with Larissa. At that point, they knew very little about each other. They had each seen a couple of photos, knew each other’s names, and exchanged phone numbers just 10 minutes before they were supposed to meet. Still, they decided to give it a shot. They met at a little tequila bar in Austin, and what was supposed to be one quick drink quickly turned into an entire evening together. The conversation came easily, and before they knew it, they were literally dancing the night away. Somewhere along the way, it became clear that neither of them was quite ready for the night to end. Since that first night, they’ve traveled to multiple countries, gone to countless concerts, navigated long distance with the help of FaceTime, and celebrated holidays together as the ever-growing Sierra–Molina–Nagura–Guitron family. Most importantly, they’ve built a beautiful life together with Remy, Larissa’s dog, along for the ride. Thanks to two best friends’ dating experiment, just a little over five years after that first night, Larissa and Erik are getting married—and couldn’t be happier to celebrate it with all of you!
