As the new girl, I had met far too many people to count within my first couple of days at our high school. Josh, being one of those people, took an immediate interest and pursued me for months before I finally came around and realized that giving a relationship with the guy I had stuck in the friend-zone a chance could turn into something so incredibly special. With that in mind, I gave us a shot, and it turned out to be the best decision I've ever made.

With Valentine's Day just barely in our rear-view mirrors, we decided to go out and celebrate. We endured the chilly winter weather and spent most of our day with the animals at the Fort Worth Zoo. After being kicked out by the zoo staff trying to close, we decided to go to the Water Gardens instead. There, Josh asked an older lady to take a couple of pictures of us together, and to the surprise of she and I both, he then got down on one knee and pulled out a ring!
