The bride can't take full credit for the natural leader she is because it was truly from the influence of her maid of honor. Almost 2 decades later, they're still the bestest friends they can ever be.

God knew she would be the perfect God-sister for her. She was the bride's only role model growing up. Everything she did, the bride made sure to follow. From teaching her how to play with barbies, to putting on make-up, to learning dance routines, to taking pictures of every memory and to helping with relationships. But most importantly, reminding Lara she is not alone and a part of their family. This woman takes responsibility for cultivating a huge part of who Lara is today.

After surviving Erikka's mommy boot camp, Lara has become proficient not only in taking care of children but will be exceptional in raising her own. She has taught the bride how to fight for unity in her marriage and her family. Erikka is a perfect example of a woman who has lived out Romans 5:3-4. She gives the bride hope to have a marriage and family that portrays the image of God.

My neighbor since grade school and my best friend since high school, Alyssa has always brought out Lara's personality. It's always a fun and goofy time when they're together. Side by side, both as only children, they have strived to eliminate every characteristic of only-child syndrome. The bride is proud to say that they are definitely succeeding in escaping the bubble they were subjected to. Covid attempted to separate the world but failed to separate them. It's safe to say their bond is indestructible.
