Sonoma Valley

Located just 9 miles north, and a 15-minute drive from the hotel is the beautiful wine region of Sonoma County. Known for its charm and breath-taking countryside views – taste your way through some of the best wines produced in the entire country. Sonoma is well known for their Pinot Noir, Rosé, Chardonnay and Sparkling Varieties. Many wineries are scattered throughout this region, including two that will be at the center of Saturday's activities, Jacuzzi and Viansa Wineries. Reservations are recommended in advance for tastings at wineries in this region.

20 miles Northeast, about a 30-minute drive, is the diverse and beautiful wine growing region known as Napa. Here, expect to find tantalizing bourdeux style wines, including some of the country’s best Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots, and Sauvignon Blancs, among various other types of wines.

Walk and taste your way through an authentic replica of a medieval Tuscan-style Castle nestled in Napa Valley. This winery boasts a wide variety of wines as well rooms filled with medieval style art. Wine tastings and pairings should be purchased in advance on their website.

Located in the heart of Napa, this renowned winery was founded in 1885 and boasts over 60+ wines and dozens of 90+ point rated wines in its current vintage. Famous for their historic 120 year old, solera-made Madeira which will be a featured dessert wine at the wedding. Reserve a tasting or explore all the culinary offerings their artisan marketplace has to offer on their 2 ½ picnic ground where wine may also be purchased by the bottle. Reservations are required for tastings and can be made on their website.

Home to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz - the city of San Francisco is a great stop to add to your California adventure. Just 17 miles south of the hotel. Some of our favorite things to do: - Visit the historical Alcatraz - Visit the iconic Golden Gate Bridge ***Please note the city of San Francisco currently has an ordnance in place which requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to partake in may indoor activities, including restaurants, bars, gyms, and clubs. Please check with any activities or locations you plan to visit and plan accordingly.

Located just 9 miles North of the hotel – Sonoma Raceway is one of North America's largest motor sports complexes that regularly hosts drag races on the weekends from April through November. Looking to see some of the West Coasts famous redwoods? 15-miles north of the hotel lays Muir Woods National Monument. Walk among old growth coast redwoods, cooling their roots in the fresh water of Redwood Creek and lifting their crowns to reach the sun and fog. Federally protected as a National Monument since 1908, this primeval forest is both refuge and laboratory, revealing our relationship with the living landscape. Parking and entrance fees are required, which can be booked on their website.
