Answer

San José del Cabo International Airport (SJD) Airport code: SJD (San José del Cabo International). Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond travel dates.

Question

Can I / Should I rent a car?

Answer

We have hired a private transportation company that will not only take everyone to and from the airport, but will also be available each day to drive individuals/groups to various locations in the area, for lunch, dinner, into Todos Santos, Cabo or to the beach that is swimmable/surfable. However, you absolutely can rent a car if you feel that would be more convenient for you. It's recommended to choose full coverage insurance, and opt for trusted companies like Alamo, Hertz, or Sixt. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) are non-existent in Todos Santos area - FYI

Question

There's no events for Saturday or Sunday listed other than breakfasts and the wedding. What are we going to be doing?

Answer

We wanted to leave Saturday and Sunday flexible so you can enjoy these days however you'd like - whether that be relaxing, exploring, adventure, sunning or swimming on the beach, hopping on a boat or a camel. We will have transportation available for getting to beaches, to the adorable town of Todos Santos or Cabo - whatever you would like to do, we will get you there. The only definite is the wedding ceremony and those details can be found on the agenda.

Question

Is the beach behind the villas swimmable?

Answer

The beach in front is tranquil and nearly always empty. There is a strong riptide and very close shelf. While it is not advisable to swim at this beach, you will see manta rays, whales and other sea life swimming very close to shore. The closest surf break is 8 minutes north at La Pastora.

Question

What should I wear for the wedding?

Answer

It will be warm and beachy, and we’d love for everyone to dress up a bit! Cory, Dawson and Hudson will all be wearing tuxes and Kaitlyn, Hattie, Josie and Stella will all be wearing long dresses but here's our suggestions for what to wear: Ladies: Dresses or jumpsuits Colors: neutral palette - colors of the wedding are green & ivory tones, black, linen — so solid colors or neutrals - no patterns or florals recommended for continuity in family pictures Footwear: anything comfortable for sand Gentlemen: Light-colored suits, or suit pants + dress shirt Wear what makes you feel great — we’re just grateful you’re there!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course!! Tell Cory or Lara asap what you want/need and we can accommodate. We have vegetarians/pescatarians in the group so that is already being planned for - but if there are other dietary requests or restrictions, please share by May 1 so our chef can prepare accordingly.

Question

Do I need Mexican pesos?

Answer

It's probably a good idea to have some pesos for shops and cafes in Todos Santos, which you could pull out prior to arrival or on arrival at a local ATM. You will need cash for smaller stores, food stalls, and markets. Credit cards are widely accepted at larger businesses. Cabo accepts credit cards/US Dollars everywhere but Todos Santos is more rural and even if paying in US dollars, you will receive change in pesos.

Question

I heard the Hotel California is in Todos Santos - is this true?

Answer

It is a beautiful building and a fun photo op, but here's the truth: the Eagles never visited this hotel, and the song isn’t about this place. It’s a brilliant marketing myth. Take the picture, buy a t-shirt if you want, but don’t let a ghost story distract you from the authentic history surrounding you.

Question

Will there be Wi‑Fi or cell service?

Answer

Yes - both villas will have Wi-Fi available

Question

Is it safe to drink the water in my villa? In Todos Santos or Cabo?

Answer
