We met on July 12, 2013, the night before Mark's 23rd birthday, in Montauk, NY. After a corny pick up line and a little white lie about him breeding English Bulldogs, Lara agreed to give Mark her number. We stayed in touch and started hanging out back in New York City and the rest is history.
After almost 4 years of dating, we decided to move in together in Chinatown. Once we realized living together was easy, we moved to Brooklyn to get a bit more space and so Mark could be closer to some local fishing spots. In March 2019, we became a family with the addition of our fur baby, Ringo, and now enjoy weekend strolls through Prospect Park and late night walks around Park Slope.
Mark proposed 6 years later (to the date) back on the beaches of Montauk where we first met. It was a clear calm night, the reflection of the moon glistened in the ocean, and he said, "I've been meaning to ask you something...". With that, he got down on one knee and asked Lara if she would marry him. Lara put down the Landshark beer can in her hand and said "Yes, of course!."
