We first met in high school, but it wasn’t until senior year that we really got to know each other. Somewhere between shared classes and being in the same prom group, a genuine friendship began to form. We didn’t know it then, but it was the start of something special. During college orientation, we quickly realized we liked each other—but as life often goes, the timing wasn’t quite right. Still, we found comfort in familiar faces, living in the same dorm building and even sharing a few classes. Eventually, our paths took different turns when Brad transferred to Appalachian State, and we slowly drifted apart. But life has a funny way of circling back. Senior year of college, we reconnected again. After college we connected with a few familiar faces from high school and were together all the time. From spontaneous late-night outings to Kickbacks, to midday rounds of disc golf, to countless shared laughs and stories, our friendship grew deeper and stronger. It might have taken two years and a couple bouts of bad timing but that friendship finally turned into something more. Over the years, our relationship has grown through shared hobbies and passions—like disc golfing, cheering on our favorite hockey team, and getting way too invested in Formula 1 race weekends. In 2022, we took on a new adventure: buying our first home. It's a fixer-upper with plenty of character, and it’s become a place where we’ve poured in love, sweat, and countless trips to the hardware store. Now, after four wonderful years of dating, we’re engaged and couldn’t be more excited for what’s next. This chapter has been years in the making, and we’re so grateful for every twist and turn that brought us here. Now, after all these years, we couldn’t be more excited to take the next step—together.
