Question

What are the Bride & Groom's travel plans?!

Answer

The Bride and Groom are planning to travel with the Bride & Grooms family and a couple other friends/family to Italy on Saturday, Sept. 20 from Atlanta to Rome. From there, they will train to Florence for a couple days. We are renting a few cars in Florence to drive to Montepulciano on the 22nd. We will arrive in Orvieto on the morning of the 23rd. We'd love for anyone interested to join us! Reach out for more details. Following the wedding, the newlyweds will be honeymooning!

Question

What will the weather be like in Orvieto?

Answer

Temperatures range from 68°F to 81°F in September. It's still warm during the day, but the mornings and evenings can be cooler.

Question

What should I wear?`

Answer

Welcome Dinner: "Garden Party" chic: Ladies, think dressy casual summer dresses (midi or maxi length) with a floral motif or floral inspired colors; Gentlemen, think blazer and lightweight pants like linen or cotton. Wedding & Reception: Black Tie Optional: Gentlemen, Tuxes are great and so are dark suits. Ladies, formal long dresses are perfect. Consider something for your shoulders for when the sun sets.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The welcome party will take place outside by the pool at Borgo San Faustino. The wedding, aperitivo hour, dinner and reception will take place outside at Villa Laura. In the event that it rains, the wedding will be moved inside of Villa Laura.

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't wear?

Answer

Ladies - heels should be fine, but please note that around the venue you will encounter a mix of cobblestone, gravel, grass, and some concrete. Flats are great too!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will have a link for you to share these with us!

Question

Taxis in Orvieto?

Answer

Unfortunately, Uber/Lyft does not exist in Orvieto. However, there are a handful of excellent local taxi companies that you can contact for rides. If you're looking for a ride into town or to a nearby attraction during your stay, we recommend the Giorgi Service and Orvieto Taxi Service. If you are looking for a more formal car service that you can schedule in advance of your trip for a specific date and time, we recommend contacting Orvieto Transfer or Autonoleggi GTF. I've listed all four recommendations below, with their contact information.
