Question

Where should we park our car if we need to leave it overnight?

Answer

Thanks for asking! The gates to the parking lot will be closed at 11:59 Saturday night, and will NOT be reopened until Monday morning. If you believe you will need to leave your car at Ushers Ferry overnight for any reason, please feel free to park on the street, just outside the gates. If you do leave your car in the parking lot, and have to retrieve it Sunday, it may be difficult, and there will be a fee to have someone called to unlock the gates.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a couple blocks set up! Just ask for the Lanser/Brown Wedding Block when you call, or follow the links provided on our "Travel" page! I heard there will be a shuttle...

Answer

YES! If you are booking a hotel, be sure to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, where we will have a shuttle provided (to and from the wedding venue) at no cost to you! This shuttle will have set times for a couple hours before the ceremony, and a couple hours at the end of the reception. Check out our "Travel" page for specific times (: If your hotel decision depends on these shuttle times, but the times do not work for you, please contact Ross or Emily to see if we can make any changes or help in any way!

What should I expect from this celebration?

Answer

Because we are already legally married, we are going to hold a vow renewal ceremony. This ceremony may be a little different than you're used to. Feel free to grab a drink and have a seat while we renew our vows! Please be aware that there is limited seating, but the ceremony will be fairly short. The Reception will go on as we had originally planned for 2020!

What does the schedule look like?

Answer

(Weather Permitting) We will gather everyone to be seated around 3:45. Until then, make yourself at home, play some yard games, or start on the snacks / drinks in the meantime! We will have a few more photos to capture after the ceremony. If you believe you'll be in some family photos, please stick around for a just a few minutes! Here is the schedule: 4:00 - Ceremony 4:30 - Yard Games / Drinks / Photos 6:15 - Grand Entrance 6:35 - Eat 10:45 - Last Call

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really, but we suggest garden / beach casual attire. There will be yard games available in the grass, so feel free to wear sundresses, maxi dresses, rompers, short-sleeved button downs, linen shorts / pants, and comfortable footwear!

What precautions are you taking with COVID?

Answer

Emily & Ross were both vaccinated in February of 2021. We are doing our absolute best to make sure each and every guest feels safe and comfortable celebrating with us. As you arrive, please watch for any signage with specific instructions. If you believe you may have COVID, we ask that you please stay home. You will be very missed!
