An astute high school upperclassman who couldn't be bothered by an oblivious, bouncy freshman with curly hair, to his surprise, would marry her almost 10 years later. So much has changed since then. For starters, they fell in love. They held hands on a rollercoaster. Kissed in the rain. They travelled hundreds of miles to be together for single days at a time. They experienced loss. They got drunk. They grew up. They learned a lot — about the world, and each other. They laughed. Hard. And their love for each other only inflated like a magic balloon that will never, ever pop. On August 19, 2017, on another of their many road trips, they stopped in the familiar town of Athens, OH to have lunch in their favorite college spot (a local brewery, no less). On one walk of many they have taken through College Green at Ohio University, he asked her to be his wife. Teary-eyed best friends peered out from behind trees, and cheap champagne was poured at their favorite run-down watering hole. They were getting married. There will surely be holes that need patching and, sure, it may need a little help re-inflating after a particularly bad fight. But one thing's for sure. Not even the sharpest knife will send this balloon flying. And on October 12, 2019, Matt and Kayla would be honored to celebrate that magic balloon, called love, with you.
