Jalisa: Our Love story started at Planet Fitness in Jackson, Mississippi, where Brandon was employed at the time. I remember the first time I noticed Brandon and made eye contact. Love at first sight…lol. I was on the stairs master trying to get fit and fine as he was walking around the gym helping patrons. We said our sweet hellos and continued about our day. At the time, I was training with a gym trainer. He told me that someone he knew was interested in me. Little did I know - it was Brandon. Once I found out, Brandon messaged me on Snapchat to confirm that he was interested in me. From there, we started conversating and getting to know one another. Our first date was at one of our new favorite restaurants, Sushi Village. If you know Brandon, you know he is a jokester. Brandon asked me to be his girlfriend on April Fool’s Day. Of course, I thought it was a joke, but this time he was serious. Brandon: I first met Jalisa while working in the gym at Planet Fitness. She came in with a friend, and they proceeded to work out. I noticed that the trainer at my job knew them, and I decided to walk up and let my face be seen as well. As time went on, we started to speak to each other daily. By this time, undenounced to me, the trainer told Jalisa that someone in the gym liked her and wanted to get to know her. Before I was able to walk up and tell her that I had an eye on her, he beat me to the point. Once I found out she already knew, I proceeded that night to write Jalisa on Snapchat and confirmed that the guy that liked her was indeed me. After conversing for a few days, we moved to go on our first date to our favorite restaurant, Sushi Village. The day I asked her to be my girlfriend was April Fool's Day; of course, I kept things funny, and the rest was history.

Jalisa: From the beginning of our relationship, we loved traveling. Our first trip was to Houston, Texas. During our city exploration, we stopped at Gerald D. Hines Waterwall. It was such a beautiful attraction. Fast forward to proposal weekend…We met in Houston for a going-away celebration for Brandon’s cousin. The entire weekend was full of fun activities. On the night of the proposal, before dinner, we made a pit stop at the Waterwall. It was dark at the time; I didn’t realize where we were until we got out of the truck. I reminded Brandon that this was the spot for our first trip and pictures. He told me that he remembered. As others were taking pictures, Brandon beckoned me to join him in the center of the Waterwall for a picture. Brandon reminded me of how much he loved me and how lucky he was to have me in his life. At that moment - I knew something special was about to happen. Shortly after, Brandon dropped to one knee and proposed...and of course, I said YES! Brandon: The engagement took place in Houston, Texas, where we took our first trip and pictures as a couple. I thought it was the perfect spot because of the sunset in the background. That weekend was full of fun activities, including playing real golf. She realized it was not Top Golf. Everyone on the golfing trip tried to get Jalisa to secretly go to a spa day that I set up and find an outfit to wear with the girls for a "dinner" that night. Of course, Jalisa had no idea what was going on, so she didn't want to participate. We managed to get her in a beautiful outfit and proceeded to the Waterwall. It was dark once we got there, but the fountain’s light shone brighter than ever. Once we were in the middle and alone, I finally seized the moment to tell her how much I loved her and that she meant the world to me. I went down on one knee, creasing up my Jays, pulled out the ring, and asked her to marry me. After the initial shock, I asked her again to marry me; her answer was YES!
