Where is Carpinteria and how do I get there?

Answer

Carpinteria is located between Santa Barbara and Ventura. From Phoenix, it’s about a 7 hour drive. There is a small airport in Santa Barbara which is 20 minute drive from Carpinteria. The Burbank airport is about an hour away. If possible, we recommend driving.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Carpinteria is a small beach town that has a handful of home rentals that can be found on Airbnb or VRBO. For hotel options, there is a Best Western and Holiday Inn in town. If you are an adventurer and can find a spot- Carpinteria State Beach has camping spots that we have enjoyed in past years! Surrounding areas such as Summerland, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Ojai are excellent options as well when searching for a place to stay.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Great question! Think beach semi-formal. Shoes optional! We’re talking sundresses, your favorite button up and slacks.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October is one of the best times to be in Carp. During the day it’s typically sunny and 75 degrees. When the sun sets it can get to be about 55 and 60 degrees. Bring a swimsuit and jacket!

Unfortunately, no. As much as we would love to have everyone our capacity and budget doesn’t allow it.
