COVID-19

Regarding COVID-19, if you have any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within 14 days of the wedding, please let us know immediately. We both have very high risk family members and we do not want anyone to get sick. We will miss you, but don’t worry, we will have tons of video footage and pictures. We hope everyone stays healthy and happy! If you do not feel comfortable attending due to COVID-19, we totally understand. If you’re anxious about attending, you have the option to RSVP to just the ceremony and/or the reception. We will provide masks if needed and there will be sanitizing stations throughout the venue. Our venue has made adjustments to help keep everyone safe. Such as: limiting table sizes, smaller rows of chairs, seated dinner instead of buffet. We have also had to make adjustments and have made the difficult decision to cut our guest list in half. Until then, social distance and wear your masks! We can’t wait to see you! If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate!

Our Story

We first met in 2014 when we were both going to school at Georgia College in Milledgeville. We didn’t know it at the time (especially Lanie), that we were made for eachother. Timing wasn’t right for us so we spent the next few years focusing on ourselves and growing individually. We both ended up in Athens, GA. Lanie moved to Athens in 2016 to pursue her MSW and Tyler moved to Athens in 2017 to pursue his law degree. In 2018, Lanie decided to stay in Athens after graduation to start her career. Tyler was in his 2nd year of law school and was working at the veterans legal clinic with one of Lanie’s neighbors (shout out to Eddie). Tyler saw Lanie pop up on his “people you may know” on Facebook and noticed that Eddie was a mutual friend. Tyler asked Eddie about Lanie and how she was doing. Eddie encouraged Tyler to reach out, so he reached out and things were different this time. We instantly knew that we were better together than we were on our own. The key to our future was the approval of Lanie’s dog, Dooley. Dooley immediately fell in love with Tyler. It didn’t take long for us to realize how special our relationship was. We now have 2 of the most beautiful pups (Dooley & Ellie) and we cannot wait to officially become a family on October 24th!
