Can I bring kids to the wedding?

Answer

We would prefer to give the parents a night out to properly celebrate our nuptials. Please leave the tiny humans at home.

Please only bring the individuals listed on your invitation. We have planned for an intimate affair.

Do I have to mail back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Answer

You may RSVP online or by mailing your RSVP. Please remember to include a piece of your favorite fabric with your RSVP. The bride & groom are going to have a quilt made for them after a piece of fabric has been collected from each guest. They want to be wrapped in love!

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved 20 rooms at the Brown County Inn. We would love for you to spend the night and join us for our ‘Honeymoon Send off’ on Sunday Morning. You may call Brown County Inn at 1(800)772.5249 to reserve and pay for your room. If you mention that you are a guest attending the Hertel-Young Wedding you will receive a 20% discount for your stay.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is black tie casual. This means that we expect to see dapper men and dazzling ladies. Suits & dresses are appropriate.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We are expecting warm weather. The highest average temperature for early October in Nashville, Indiana is 72 degrees and the lowest average temperature is 51 degrees.

There is a lot in the front of the venue that you may park.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please arrive promptly at 6:45 PM. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM and should commence at sunset. If you require assistance in reaching the ceremony location at the back of the property, a golf cart driver will be chauffeuring guests.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Please do NOT take photos during the ceremony. Our ceremony is unplugged. This means that all phones and cameras should be turned completely off so that you may share our special moment with us. No worries though, we have hired an incredible photographer to capture our BIG day! You are more than welcome to turn your phone and camera back on and take as many photos as you’d like once we are pronounced husband and wife! We just ask that you please refrain from using any devices until the cocktail hour/reception begins. What happens between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Cocktail hour!! Please make your way to the reception area, grab a drink, and relax while we take a few minutes for our new titles ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ to sink in.

Answer

We will be serving an elegant spread of hors d’oeuvres as well as dessert. We want you to feel satisfied & ready to dance the night away!

The reception will end at approximately 11:00 PM with the bride & groom’s ‘Last Dance’.
