We’re getting married!

Our love story starts at a sandwich shop, specifically Jersey Mikes. It was my (Lani) first day at my new job and all I was focused on was not messing up! But Luke was focused on something else. He tried to talk to me for the rest of night, trying to get to know me and so forth. A couple of times he would purposely park in the front of the store, so then I would have to give him a short ride to his car after work. I had no idea that he was interested in me. We hung out a few times before work and never stopped. I didn’t know Jersey Mikes existed before I worked there, let alone the love of my life would be there on my first day.

Luke had mentioned to me a few days before that he wanted to eat out somewhere nice. The nicest place I could suggest was any hibachi restaurant near by, but Luke insisted on something else. He told me he would figure it out and surprise me with it. So Thursday rolls around and he made reservations to a restaurant in Downtown Canton, Queenies. Man, was that food good! We ate, we talked, then we go back to the car, and he said “Before we leave, I want to look at this new construction they’re building.” So we drive around the corner and he parks in a dark alley LOL. We start walking up the street we were just at and then all of a sudden Luke tells me, “look up at it!” On the marquee of the Canton Theater it says “Lani, will you marry me?” Out of complete surprise, I squealed and immediately said yes!!!
