Depending on who you ask, the story may differ, but here’s an idea of how it all started. T’was the summer of 2015. Eric and Lani’s friend Karl had the ambitious idea of bringing the young adult groups of two churches together for a casual afternoon of fun and games. It was here that Eric first took notice of Lani and her kind and caring personality. Unfortunately for Eric, Lani was not available at the time, so sadly, Eric and Lani went their separate ways. Flash forward about a year later, in the fall of 2016, in secret, Karl made it known to Eric that Lani was now available. Intrigued by Karl’s suggestion, Eric began making secret plans with Karl to create opportunities for Eric and Lani to get to know each other more. The first move was a group trip to Universal Studios, followed with some late night tacos. It was here that Eric became enthralled with Lani and decided to pursue after her. Eric spent the next few months finding excuses and creating opportunities to hang out with Lani. Then Karl came in big brained with an opportunity to go on a trip to SLO. Eric took the offer and worked hard to convince Lani to come on the trip. It was during this trip where the magic happened! Eric and Lani were able to spend a lot of quality time together, so much where by the end of the trip Eric would infamously confess to Lani with the words “I think you’re pretty cool”. It was from this point on that Eric and Lani became quite inseparable and their love for each other grew and grew.
