It all began with "howdy". We met at Ashlynn's neighbor's party our sophomore year at Texas A&M University. We spent the whole night talking and quickly realized that we had met our person.

We had been planning and saving up for our trip to New York for at least two years. We had planned to be there for a few days and wanted to see all of the sights New York has to offer. Our second day in New York, we had planned to go to Rockefeller Plaza to see the world famous Christmas tree and see the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Hall. We walked from our hotel near Times Square to Rockefeller Plaza and as we got closer, Travis seemed off. He was on his phone and kept walking around Rockefeller Plaza as if he was looking for something. We finally found a spot where you could see the tree and the ice skating rink. We stood there for a few minutes, holding our umbrellas when suddenly, Travis got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring and asked "Ashlynn, will you marry me?". Ashlynn couldn't believe it and exclaimed "Really?!" and immediately said yes. Travis told Ashlynn to put her umbrella down and when Ashlynn asked why, he said "they're taking pictures" and gestured to Ashlynn's best friends, Hannah and Rachel. Travis had arranged for Ashlynn's best friends to fly to New York to take pictures and surprise Ashlynn. We spent the next few days celebrating with our friends and exploring New York City.
