The Woodlands Trolley is a trolley system that runs through most of Town Center and is a great way to see the area without having to walk everywhere. Town Center is an area within The Woodlands that is composed of four main areas which include The Woodlands Waterway, Market Street, The Woodlands Mall and The Cynthia Mitchell Pravalion. Town Center is also fairly large, so if you get tired of walking, keep a lookout for trolley pick up signs and they will drive you to the next drop off point. The trolley also makes a stop at Hughes Landing, which a mix-use development in The Woodlands that is home to many different resturants.
Home to Restaurant Row, Hughes Landing has no shortage of places to dine with great scenery. There are walking paths running parallel to Lake Woodlands and some good spots to picnic. Our favorites for Hughes Landing include: Walking along Lake Woodlands coffee from Starbucks Kayaking along the lake
The Woodlands Waterway is is part of Town Square and has something to due for everyone. It is probably our favorite place to hangout in our free freetime. For our guests the have kids, there are splash pads in the center of the waterway as well as interactive art sculptures for them to play with. The Waterway has a walking path along the water that will take you too The Woodlands mall and back. There are also swan paddle boats if you want to be on the water. Our picks for best things to do on the waterway include: Walking the waterway and enjoying the scenery The Goose's Acre (Irish pub with great pretzels with beer cheese) Blue Door Coffee Grimaldi's Brick Oven Pizza Kriby's Ice House (21+ only) Dessert Gallery Bar Louie Last but not least, The Woodlands Trolley!
Market Street is part of Town Square and is the most popular place in Town Square to hangout. Market Street has many options for shopping and dinning with a green space in the middle of the plaza for kids to play on. Our favorite picks for Market Street are: HEB (They make inexpensive pizzas which are nice alternatives to the fine dinning just enter on the right most door in the grocery store to find the pizza stand) Sixty Vines Just taking a stroll around the area
It can get scorching hot in Texas! So we wanted to make sure our guests can have fun sight seeing and shopping, while staying out of the heat. The The Woodlands Mall has indoor shopping, a food court, an outdoor green space ( if it's not too hot outside), and restaurants. Our favorites in The Woodlands Mall are: Macys Barns & Noble Shake Shack
Old Town Tomball is good choice for those who enjoy antique shops and boutiques. It is a little bit further out, located about 25mins west of the The Woodlands. Old Town is home to railroad depot building and a plaza with an iconic red caboose. A farmers market is held in Old Town every Saturday from 9am-1pm. There is a popular food truck park called 403 Eats that we highly recommend stoping by for a bite to eat.
