Jessica & Jacob met at a Valentine's Day party in 2016. An hour after Jacob left the party, Jessica messaged him on social media. Through daily text messages and silly Snapchats, they soon realized their connection could be more than a friendship. Jess was active in several 5K races at the time and Jake decided to challenge her. The stakes: loser buys dinner. Jake "no-showed" and lost the race by disqualification. Turns out it was all part of the plan (well played, Jake)! On April 8th, 2016 they went on their first official date. It didn't take long before they both fell in love and knew they wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. The rest is history!

On their 3rd anniversary, Jake surprised Jess with an overnight trip to Miami. It was a great cover-up to make sure Jess didn't see what was coming, but she was definitely suspicious that something was going on. They went to one of our favorite restaurants in Downtown Miami. Halfway through dinner, Jess texted her best friend "I don't think it's going to happen tonight." Jake secretly ordered a dessert that came out with sparklers and lights. Perfect time to propose, right? Yes, but he didn't. Coupled with the fact Will Smith was at the same restaurant that night, Jess was starstruck and totally thrown off. As they walked off the elevator towards their room, Jess noticed a housekeeper smiling at her. Little did she know the housekeeper just prepared the room for what was about to happen. When they walked into the room, Jess yelled "Jacob, what the hell did they do to our floor?!" A candlelit path of beautiful pink and red rose petals lined the hallway. It continued onto the bed where "Marry Me?" was written in rose petals. Jake turned around, dropped to one knee and asked the one question Jessica had been waiting to hear all night. She responded with a tearful, joyous "YES!!!" Excitement overflowed our hearts. Our forever story was just beginning.
