Our story begins with meeting on Tinder (a dating app). We had our first date at Barrio, a Mexican restaurant in East Lansing. We bonded over delicious tacos and margaritas. In the months following, we were inseparable. We kept each other company during the pandemic by cooking elaborate recipes together, exploring parks, and going on camping trips.

Josh planned a whole day centered around recreating a lot of our firsts. We had lunch at Barrio, where we had our first date. For dinner, we had sushi because Arianna first asked Josh to be her boyfriend after he spontaneously brought sushi to her apartment. We went berry picking since that is what we did our first weekend in Grand Rapids together. Our first vacation together was spent watching the sunset at Saugatuck Dunes State Park on Lake Michigan. While watching the sun set in the same location, we created a new first - The first time we called each other “fiancé”.
