We often joke that fate (and a dating app algorithm) brought us together when we matched on Bumble in 2022. Our connection was so immediate that we couldn't wait for our planned dinner date and moved it up to drinks at Chicory Cafe in Mishawaka. Sitting across from each other that evening, both nervous yet excited, neither of us realized we were looking into the eyes of our forever person. From our very first conversation, we discovered not just romantic chemistry, but the foundation of a true partnership. Our relationship grew through board game nights filled with laughter, deep talks about life and values, and dancing together at pop punk concerts. Whether we are rocking out to pop punk bands in concert like Simple Plan, who we are seeing for the 3rd year in a row this year, or debating our favorite Millennial TV comedies, we've always found joy in simply being together. What we treasure most about our relationship is how we can be completely ourselves with each other. We can be silly or serious, vulnerable or strong, and always find understanding and support. Adam loves that "we can talk about literally anything," while Amy cherishes that Adam is "the person I want to call after everything." We've become each other's best friends, confidants, and biggest supporters. Our adventures together have only strengthened our bond. A memorable trip to Chicago for a concert turned into a beautiful drive home with conversations about our future together. Early in our relationship, we traveled to Florida for Amy's sister's wedding, where we discovered how perfectly we travel together, walking beaches and dancing under the stars. When we moved in together in February, we faced challenges that ultimately made us stronger, learning to solve problems as equal partners who deeply respect each other's perspectives. Our home is filled with love, countless inside jokes, and an ever-growing collection of high-quality cookware (Adam has a sweet determination to upgrade Amy's kitchen items because he wants her to have the very best—it's his loving way of taking care of her). Amy's habit of spontaneously quoting shows and bursting into 50s songs—which Adam initially thought were Amy's own creative expressions—has brought us even closer as we continue to share and discover new parts of each other. In November 2024, we returned to where our story began. After drinks at Chicory Cafe, we walked hand in hand to a gazebo in the nearby park where, in a moment that embodied our equal partnership, we proposed to each other. This felt like the perfect reflection of how we approach life—together, as a team, facing the future with mutual adoration. Our wedding reception at Chicory Cafe brings our journey full circle. As we look to our future together, we're excited for all the beautiful moments ahead—cooking meals, sharing our passions, and continuing to grow together. In each other, we've found not just love, but a profound respect and partnership that makes every day together a gift. We can't wait to begin this next chapter of our lives as husband and wife, continuing to love, respect, and cherish each other in all the adventures that lie ahead.
