Like many modern love stories, theirs began with a swipe. They matched on Bumble while they were both in college—Nicole was at Immaculata University, and Andrew was studying at West Chester University. After some great conversation, they decided to meet for breakfast on February 8, 2020, at Nudy’s Café in Malvern, PA. From the moment they sat down, there was an ease and comfort that neither of them expected. Nicole felt right away that Andrew was someone special, kind, funny, and effortlessly easy to talk to. Andrew felt the same spark, instantly drawn to Nicole’s warmth and the way their conversation flowed so naturally. It felt less like a first date and more like reconnecting with someone he’d already known. What really stood out to Nicole was a small gesture over breakfast. As they talked about what to order, Andrew picked up on the fact that Nicole wasn’t too excited about his original choice. Without hesitation, he changed his order to something she would enjoy more. When the food arrived, he asked for an extra plate and shared it with her. That simple act of thoughtfulness said everything. On October 19th 2024, Andrew planned a day that Nicole would never forget. She thought they were spending a fall afternoon exploring the Nemours Estate in Delaware with their friends Renel and Frankie—but Andrew had something much more meaningful in store. They wandered through the estate’s breathtaking gardens and admired the architecture. As they stepped inside the mansion to continue exploring, Andrew suddenly stepped away to take a phone call. Confused, Nicole followed him outside a few moments later. Andrew hung up the phone, took Nicole’s hands, and began telling her all the reasons he loved her. Before she knew it, he was down on one knee, asking her to spend forever with him. He had thought of every detail, even arranging for a photographer to capture the moment as it unfolded. Afterward, they spent time taking photos across the beautiful grounds, soaking in the joy and excitement. The celebration continued with a romantic dinner in Philadelphia, but Andrew had one more surprise waiting. Back at the Langdale house, both of their parents, along with Renel and Frankie, were waiting to toast to the newly engaged couple with dessert and drinks. There was even a lawn sign to mark the occasion. It was the most thoughtful, joyful, and perfect day—one they’ll cherish forever.
