FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP on this website by June 1st, 2026! Because this is a destination wedding we have quite a few details that we need to solidify in advance.

Question

Do I need travel vaccine's? Should I bring medicine?

Answer

Please do research and talk to doctors in your area. If you are coming from a Yellow Fever Endemic country you may need to provide proof of Yellow Fever Vaccine. You may choose to take Malaria Tablets - you will need to go to a travel clinic in advance to get these prescribed and start taking them a few days before you leave. It is recommended that travelers from outside India take an over the counter probiotic before and during their stay. You can get these are any pharmacy, grocery store, department store and Amazon. You may want to bring travel medicine to have at your disposal such as anti-diarrheal, a mild laxative, anti-allergy, and your preferred pain/fever tablets. Goa is a very large city and healthcare is readily accessible should you need something.

Question

Can I drink the water there?

Answer

For those international travelers you can not drink the tap water. However bottled water or filtered water is completely fine. If you are concerned about water we recommend bringing a water bottle with a filter it in so you can drink from anywhere. We suggest: Lifestraw, Britta or similar

Question

What will the food be like? Dietary Restrictions / Veg Options

Answer

Veg and non-veg optionals will be available for every meal. If you have any other dietary restrictions please ensure to add them when RSVPing for the event so we can take care of you. The food provided will vary day to day, however it will be North Indian - Dal, Roti, Naan, rice, dry & wet curries, chicken dishes, etc. There will also be selective western options for the larger events. The food will vary in spice level, there will be something for everyone.

Question

Will my phone work?

Answer

Most carriers allow you to set up an international travel plan or similar before leaving the country, this is an easy option although can be expensive. If you are a bit more tech savy we recommend setting up an ESIM. To do this you can download an app (Saily eSIM, Airalo, Nomad, etc) and download a temporary eSIM onto your phone. This will connect you to the local network when in India. *Please be aware that often this eSIM will give you a temporary local phone number, you will not be able to receive SMS or phone calls on your primary phone number without incurring additional charges. We recommend using WhatsApp for messaging and calling while traveling, you will be able to receive all messages and phone calls over wifi or data regardless of if your primary number is connected to cellular.

Question

What will the weather be like? How should I pack?

Answer

November is winter in India, however it is still tropical and we are near the equator. Days will be warm and sunny (32°-34° C / 90°-94° F) and evenings will be pleasant (22°-24° C / 72°-75° F). Loose lightweight clothes, sunscreen and bug spray will be your friend. When packing please remember to be respectful and dress fairly modestly (knee length or longer, no strapless clothes) and that you will be sitting on the ground in some situations. Bring both closed toed shoes / sneakers and a sandal, swim suit, sunglasses and hat. REMINDER: Electronic power supply is 220v in India and they use a Type C plug (Aka a Europlug). If you are not traveling from Europe you will need to bring an adaptor / power converter. While most of your modern electrics will automatically adapt to the power change (phone, laptop, tablet) your hair styling appliances will not. Please confirm your straighteners and curling irons are dual voltage before bringing them. US purchased Hair dryers / Dyson's / Shark's are likely NOT dual voltage and will fry the appliance and possibly cause you to loose power in your room. CLOTHING FOR WEDDING EVENTS: Dress code is outlined for each even in the "Schedule Section." Please be aware that most events will be on the lawn so maybe leave the thin stilettos at home.

Question

Do you have a registry or Honeymoon fund?

Answer

Because we are destination-bound and we know travel is a big commitment, we are not setting up a registry or donation of any kind. Your presence is the present!

Question

Will there be a celebration in the United States?

Answer

Yes, we are planning on doing a stateside celebration for those who can not attend the Indian celebration or would like to attend both. This is something that we will be looking into closer to 2027. More details to come later!

Question

Vape Advisory

Answer

Possession of a vape device is illegal in India. Devices will likely be confiscated when going through airport security in India. You may be able to get them in the country as your bags are not scanned on arrival, however if you have a domestic connection they can be confiscated. If you need your vape you are welcome to try and risk it, perhaps bring disposables or embrace the good old fashioned cigarette. Big tobacco always wins in the end.
