Well, like many people in this digital age, we met on a dating app. We first officially met at Rivertown Coffee Shop in Florence, AL. We spent three hours talking about books, movies, how awkward the dating scene was, and pretty much anything else just to extend our time together. As we went on more dates, we both came to realize that we had something here, and that we really enjoyed spending time with each other. Early this year, we moved into our first apartment, and we've been living happily together ever since.

After over a year of dating, we had actually been talking for quite some time about marriage. After looking at rings and even a couple of venues, I was quite sure he was as serious about me as I was about him. On our 14-month anniversary, he took me out to dinner. Afterwards we walked down to the coffee shop where we first met. I was so nervous, thinking that this was where he would pop the question, but he had more surprises in store. We then went to the beautiful UNA campus to stargaze(I'm a bit of an astronomy nerd) harkening back to another date early on in our relationship. We walked around for some time until we circled back to the large fountain on campus. He took a few deep breathes, took my hands, and then got down on one knee. He told me that he had never loved anyone in his life as much as he loved me and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. He then slipped a mesmerizing sapphire ring on my left hand, and we have been excitingly planning our nuptials ever since.
