Natural Bridge Aruba

Explore the rugged northern shore of Aruba and discover many natural bridges on your way; some small, yet all true gems. For thousands of years, pounding waves and strong winds have slowly chiseled away at the limestone cliffs along Aruba’s north coast to create several natural bridges. Before collapsing in 2005, the largest and most photographed of these bridges was the famous Natural Bridge between the Bushiribana gold mine ruins and Andicuri Beach. The remains of this bridge are still a tourist attraction in Aruba, with the adjacent intact Baby Bridge also meriting a visit. The Natural Bridge area boasts a souvenir shop and snack bar with refreshments in a replica cunucu house. Other gorgeous natural bridges can be found in the southern part of the island near Black Stone Beach where you’ll find a unique tripod bridge.

Aruba’s Caves

In the deep recesses of rock along the island's windward coast, shallow cave formations intrigue visitors, who, in seeking to penetrate its damp chambers, are rewarded with mysterious views. The caves are accessible to the public during the day between opening hours of the national park (8:00 - 4:00 pm). Ask park rangers at the entrance of the caves for a tour inside, as they can share interesting information on rock drawings, and nature's artwork of stalagmites and stalactites. The Guadirikiri Cave is famous for its two chambers, illuminated by the sunlight streaming through holes in the roof of the cave. The cave extends for about 100 feet. In the darker portions of the cave nest hundreds of harmless bats. The Fontein Cave is the most popular of the caves as it is the only one that has the drawings of Arawak Indians on the ceilings, providing a real sense of island history to this cave. All three of these caves are located within the Arikok National Park Aruba.

California Lighthouse

Take in the best 360 island views of the island from the famous California Lighthouse. You can now even climb the top! The old stone California lighthouse stands as a silent watchman in the area known as "Hudishibana," near the island's northwestern tip. It beckons visitors to the most spectacular views of the island. The lighthouse was named after the S.S. California - which sunk previous to its construction in 1910. Perched on a high seaside elevation, the lighthouse has become one of Aruba's scenic trademarks and offers a picture perfect view of the island's western coastline of beaches and coral shorelines. Any time till 7:00 pm is a great time to visit the lighthouse for a 360 degree view, yet the sunset is hands down the right time of day to be there as the big orange ball of fire gently dips into the Caribbean Sea. Keep your eyes open, you might see the green flash. The lighthouse is now open everyday from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, $5 admission fee no reservations required.

Aqua Donut

‘A water adventure like no other’ What is an Aqua Donut Boat? An Aqua Donut is a circular boat (similar to that deep fried, glazed treat we all love to indulge, from time to time). It can’t sink, even when full of water. This boat is a floating device powered by a motor and made from high performance fiberglass, allowing it to glide seamlessly across the sparkling turquoise sea with you as captain. We will instruct you how to operate the boat and the outboard motor and you can rent the Aqua Donut boat without a boat license. It will only take 5 minutes to get the instructions, easy as that. If you prefer a captain, of course that is possible as well. Enjoy the beautiful Caribbean Sea with your lover, friends or family or all at the same time. Philip's Animal Garden

A non-profit organization that focuses on rescuing exotic animals on Aruba and the region, founded in 2009 and is the only organization rescuing and rehabilitating exotic animals in Aruba, which has resulted in an amazing collection of these animals. We provide a suitable living environment for all the rescued animals. Up until now the owner, Philip, has built this shelter with his own efforts; building all the cages from scratch, designing all structures and welding them with his own bare hands. His goal is to upgrade the facilities to a world-class animal shelter with veterinary care and round-the-clock staffs. With the input from the Aruban community and visitors they provide the best care for these animals.

Aruba Underwater Helmet Walk You don’t want to miss this delightful underwater experience that allows you to walk the sea floor on a custom walkway wearing specially designed diving helmets, offering up-close view of Aruba’s marine life. Even non-swimmers and those who don’t snorkel can feed a bevy of colorful tropical fish, view a sunken Jeep and bus, and pose for a photograph while sitting at the underwater Sea Trek Cafe. The duration is approximately 1 hour including briefing. You will be scheduled for your dive after arrival at De Palm Island.
