Mel is Shay's oldest sister, and eldest of the five Lane siblings. Shay has always looked up to Mel and admired her kindness and the love she puts into everything she does and makes. Their shared love of a chill day by the pool, good coffee and better cocktails, is unmatched! Shay's favorite memory of Mel was catching her pulling through the DelTaco drive thru on her wedding day.
Aliy (Lane) Schumacher
Matron of Honor
Aliy is Shay's older sister, and the second oldest of the five Lane siblings. It's rare that these two go a day without a call (or 5,000 texts that should have just been a call). Like Shay, Aliy is a July baby - Cancers forever! They not only share a birth month, but a love of being outside by the water, and in the big city, and are always on the hunt for good food!
Annie Schweitzer
Bridesmaid
Annie is the fourth of five Schweitzer children and is one of many cousins on Shay's maternal side of the family. Annie truly showed Shay the ins and outs of city life in Chicago (to say the least), and is a big reason why Shay fell in love with the Windy City. Shay has always appreciated Annie for her honesty, openness, and wild jokes. Their adventures together include (and are not limited to) getting stuck in the snow with flat tires, wearing matching night robes in Tokyo, and crying at Justin Bieber concerts (yes, twice).
Maryellen (Schweitzer) Rusinak
Bridesmaid
Maryellen is number five in the Schweitzer family, and like Annie, is another sister to Shay. Maryellen supported Shay during her years in Chicago (and beyond), and might actually be an even bigger karaoke star. Always down for a fun night out, a Hawks game and a lazy couch day the morning after, life in Chicago wouldn't have been the same for Shay without her! Thankfully, ME is never not on her phone, and is always an immediate text response away!
Christopher Jordan
Best Man
Christopher is the eldest of the three Jordan siblings. Chris has been a constant role model for Spenser his entire life. Needless to say the sibling (brotherly) rivalry in their younger years has only strengthened the sacred bond that brothers have. From countless homemade wrestling matches, one on one basketball games and even R/C car races, to their love for quoting cheesy 80's action movies, similar tastes in music and the general admiration for each other, it was a no brainer that Spenser asked Chris to be his best man - and Chris was honored to do so.
Daniel Ross
Groomsman
Daniel is Spenser's first cousin. They both share the same birth month of September. Spenser would say that Daniel is the younger sibling he never got. He is actually more then just a groomsman in this case as Daniel helped Spenser with the planning and execution of his proposal to Shay (and she was amazed and elated). Their mutual love of cars, various racing series, video games and very obscure references in music pop culture is unmatched. While the two have graduated from sleepovers and all night video game sessions to late night spirited canyon drives and the occasional garage day to work on Spenser's car, Daniel has been and always will be a very special part of Spenser's life.
Sean Meyers
Groomsman
Sean is one of Spenser's college teammates, roommates, and best friends (1/3rd of the B.A.N.S friend group). Sean and Spenser's friendship started in a very unconventional way, with Sean thinking Spenser was rather childish for getting upset about a lost T.V. remote in Spenser's dorm room. However, unforeseen circumstances forced Sean and Spenser to spend more time together, on and off the field. Little did they know, a lifelong friendship was just beginning. The list of inside jokes, gut busting laughs, college experiences and friendly debates is longer than the entire collection of Encyclopedia Britannica itself. Although Sean and Spenser reside on opposite ends of the country, the two are in constant contact with one another, as life long friends should be. Sean is both excited and honored to stand with Spenser, as he gets married.
Marcus Walker

Marcus is another one of Spenser's college teammates and roommates. And yes, 1/3rd of the B.A.N.S friend group. Forging their early friendship with similar interest in exclusive retro Jordan basketball shoes, cars, and very competitive (borderline violent) video game sessions. Marcus, always an unwavering, supportive and loyal friend, gave his buddy Spenser the best pregame pep talk he ever had, as it was Spenser's last game of his college career. Needless to say, Spenser was fired up after the talk and went on to have the game of his life. Marcus was ecstatic the hear that Spenser and Shay were getting married, and when Spenser asked him to be part of the wedding party, he screamed, "I'm there, and we're getting after it!!!"
Wendi Jordan
Officiant
Wendi is Spenser's older sister, the second of three Jordan siblings. Growing up, Wendi played an intricate role in Spenser's love and interest in food. Constant trips to various restaurants and eateries in greater Los Angeles helped plant a deep seed of curiosity for cuisine in a younger Spenser. Anyone reading this knows that Shay and Spenser have the strongest bond, rooted in unique dining experiences. When the couple initially approached Wendi with the proposition of officiating their wedding, she was instantly reduced to tears of joy. The bride and groom are truly honored to have Wendi officiate their wedding.
Clara Brizendine
Flower Girl
Clara is the second of three Brizendine girls, and is Shay's niece and Goddaughter. Clara is a superstar on and off the soccer field and while wildly similar to Shay in so many ways, she is very much her own wonderful, funny, smart and kind self! Clara is so special to both the bride and groom!
