Chad and LaNee initially connected through Facebook dating. They exchanged a few messages and then Chad made the courageous step to give LaNee his number; and told her to text him if she was interested. LaNee was taken aback by Chad's forwardness with giving her his number instead of asking for hers. LaNee almost did not message Chad, instead she took the leap of reaching out while thinking "Who does this man think he is?" Chad and LaNee started messaging frequently until they finally had a phone conversation that lasted over 6 hours while Chad was working the graveyard shift at Belafonte. LaNee and Chad did not have their first date until a week after having, daily, 3 + hour phone calls and lengthy text message conversations. On Chad and LaNee's first date, Chad made it clear that he was dating with the intention of marriage. Their first date only lasted about 45 minutes during LaNee's lunch break and the chemistry was present even during such a short date. From here, the rest is history. Chad and LaNee bonded over so many things, one of which is their love for traveling. During the first year of dating they travelled to: Branson, MO; Rogers, AR; Omaha, NE; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL and New York, NY. LaNee met Chad's immediate family in Kansas City and Chad met her family during their impromptu birthday trip to Chicago. Fast forward to October 2023, Chad and LaNee planned a joint 30th birthday trip since their birthdays are exactly a week apart.
