How did you meet?

Answer

We were set up on a date by our friend Chloe. We went on a double date with Chloe and Sean’s cousin Kendall to Saratoga Hot Springs and made chocolate fondue over a camp stove. That’s also where Sean held Makayla’s hand for the first time and got her number.

How long have you been dating?

Answer

We met August 28, and though we didn’t decide to exclusively date for another 3 weeks, we have spoken just about every day since then.

Who said “I love you” first?

Answer

Makayla said I love you first, but Sean felt it first. He was waiting for her to say it first. It just about killed Sean to wait as long as he did, however Makayla was holding out because she was an emotional chicken.

How did Sean propose?

Answer

Sean wanted to propose in a place that was outside, pretty, and private. But since it was March and winter had melted but spring hadn’t quite sprung yet, he wasn’t quite sure where that was. So Saturday afternoon we set out on a grand loop adventure up big cotton wood canyon, around jordanelle reservoir, through Midway, around deer creek reservoir and down Provo canyon. We saw lots of pretty places that weren’t really private, and private places that weren’t very pretty yet. Near the end of Provo canyon we decided to see if squa peak was open for the season, (it was not) but we decided we could just walk up the road if we couldn’t drive it. After wandering around for a while and finding ourselves very alone, surrounded by snow capped mountains, Sean got on one knee and proposed! Makayla cried. It was a very easy yes!
