To Our Friends and Family

Thank you, and we love you.

We appreciate the kind words, support, and encouragement we've received from our friends and family to get married the way we wanted to. We know that choosing to elope with a small, private ceremony was not what some people wanted and that being excluded from our guest list may have left you feeling hurt, which was never our intention. Our intimate ceremony allowed us to celebrate our love in a stress-free, casual environment with the people we feel closest to. We designed the day to fit our style as a couple, and we are blessed to have such a beautiful memory of a perfect day. We also won't fail to mention that the route we took was more budget-friendly than a larger wedding would have been, which helped us stay on track with our financial goals to soon get off the road, settled down in a home without wheels, and start a family. While you may have not been with us on this day physically, know that you were with us in thought and spirit, and we acknowledge the love and support we've received over the past two years that helped us get to this day. We are so excited to have the opportunity to celebrate our marriage again, this time with all of our friends and family! We look forward to catching up with all of you, and hope you will join us (even if you only come for the open bar!). We love and appreciate y'all!

Our Love Story

First comes a Tinder message, then comes marriage.

We met on a Wednesday morning on November 3rd, 2021...via a Tinder message. Lane opened with a pickup line, and Cayla quickly switched the topic to marriage, babies, and growing old together. Smooth. Cayla wasn't wasting any time, and Lane was on board. We had our first date at Kickback Jack's in High Point, North Carolina 10 days later, and we've spent nearly every day together since! While meeting on Tinder is not exactly the love story Nicholas Sparks writes about, we've had our fair share of fairytale moments, including the realization that we met almost exactly halfway between our hometowns, seeing a shooting star on our second date, and a beachside proposal.

The Proposal

She said, "Really?!"

We took a trip to visit Lane's family in Alabama and decided to vacation for a few days in Panama City Beach, Florida. Unbeknownst to Cayla, this would be the trip that would make her a fiancée! Lane tried his hardest to convince Cayla not to apply her Marilyn Monroe pink and white Kiss glue on nails (featuring the word "queen" and a crown on her left ring finger...) but any further push back would spoil his surprise. Nothing a little photoshop can't fix. Lane's plan to propose at sunset on the pier was foiled by rain that started almost exactly at sundown, leaving him with the choice whether or not to pop the question in Margaritaville, where we were about to have dinner. Luckily, Lane held on to the ring one more day. The following day was our last, and we took a stroll down the pier before heading home. We set up a tripod for some photos for our "A Couple and a Camper" Instagram page, which ensured Cayla wouldn't suspect a thing. A school of fish swarmed the pier and while Cayla was focused on the fish, Lane got down on one knee. After realizing what was happening, Cayla said, "Really!?" The "really" was followed by a "Yes!", of course. We strolled the pier, Lane telling Cayla the background story of when and where he got the ring. The ring had been chosen during month 5 of our relationship, after taking a ring shopping trip just for fun. Little did Cayla know, the ring had been riding around in Lane's truck with us since a week after the shopping trip, for 15 months. Before heading back to the car, a sea turtle surfaced to congratulate the newly engaged couple, and some dolphins sent us off with some wave jumping. "Did you arrange that?" asked Cayla. Now I know you're wondering about what came next. "Did you go to a fancy dinner? Were you met with friends and family who were in on the surprise?" Does that sound like us??? No. We went to Dave and Buster's for wings and air hockey!

The Wedding

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Strahan

On May 2nd, 2024 at 11:13am, we were pronounced husband and wife in Dothan, AL. In the duration of about 1 hour, we were married, took photos with friends and family, cut a wedding cake, and laughed our way through awkward bridal portraits. We met up with our 11 guests at a local restaurant before all heading down to Panama City Beach for a celebratory weekend. Unbeknownst to us, we would be met with thousands of bikers also visiting the beach town for one of the largest biker rallies in the country. Also happening that weekend was hours of practice for the inaugural air show, complete with vintage propeller planes and modern-day fighter jets! We lounged on the beach, played with ocean life from a pontoon boat, and bar hopped with bikers. We also opted to share vows privately on the beach with just us two. Not your traditional wedding, but we wouldn't change a thing!
