The Wedding Website of Elizabeth Rasmussen and Michael Rasmussen

Melissa Landy

Maid of Honor

Melissa is the bride's older sister. They grew up playing Barbies, teacher, and any other game where Melissa could tell Liz what to make her characters say (we all get why she graduated college with a theater degree)! After college, Liz moved to Orlando, better known as "Melissa's city." She shared all of her friends (thanks sis) and even introduced her to her favorite local spots! Now, they both love the City Beautiful and enjoy spending so much time together. Whether it be at work, or skydiving on New Year's day, each moment spent together is an adventure!

Brentley Romine

Best Man

Brentley and Michael first met in elementary school and grew up in the same neighborhood, right around the corner from each other. They were best friends from the start, hitting it off over their shared interest in playing and recording music, NBA Basketball (Go Magic!), and of course, golf. Throughout the years, they have maintained a close bond, and even lived together. Michael was lucky enough to be introduced to Elizabeth through Brentley and his fiancé, Paige. The groom is excited to stand next to Brentley on both of their biggest days...considering they are each others Best Man!

Mary Khayat

Bridesmaid

Mary is Elizabeth's cousin. They grew up spending the summers running through the fields of South Dakota. When they were little, they played Little House on the Prairie, planned their future weddings and of course, talked about boys. When they got older, they still talked about their weddings and boys. Now, they are both planning their weddings together! Elizabeth's favorite memories with Mary are spending New Year's on a cruise ship together and riding around Sioux Falls, South Dakota in the summer when the girls were in high school. Mary has always been one of Elizabeth's closest friends and she can't wait for Mary to stand by her side!

LJ Rasmussen

Groomsman

LJ and the groom are cousins, but they prefer the term "brother". They’ve always looked forward to seeing each throughout the years, and now that LJ is also living in Orlando, they’re lucky to be able to spend a lot more time golfing. They find plenty of reasons to laugh together, whether it be at the musical Oklahoma!, at an Orlando City game, a golf tournament, or just getting a beer at one of the local craft breweries in town. The groom is very happy to have his "brother" (cousin) stand with him on the best day of his life.

Hannah Whalen

Bridesmaid

Elizabeth spotted Hannah on the first day that she was abandoned in South Dakota for college. She forced Hannah to be her BFF and luckily Hannah obliged. After being in the same sorority and living as roommates for a good part of college, Hannah hasn't gone anywhere! Elizabeth most likely wouldn't have made it through the first semester without her. She is Elizabeth's sounding board and also one of the only people that she sees eye to eye with. (No, really..they are the same height!)

Matt Rasmussen

Groomsman

Matthew is also Michael's cousin (and LJ’s younger brother). Over the years, the two have bonded through sports talk and their love of golf (can you see the trend??). Aside from golf, the two men truly put their athletic prowess to the test in some heated go-kart races at Frankie’s Fun Park in Charlotte a few summers ago. Matthew won his spot in the bridal party when his family made a surprise visit to Florida for Michael and Elizabeth’s engagement party. Just kidding, his name was already on this website!! The groom is very excited to have Matthew as a part of his wedding day.

Danielle Rasmussen

Bridesmaid

Danielle is the groom's youngest sister. She's become a close friend to the bride over the past three years. She has the worlds biggest heart and can never pass up a chance to throw an organized party. Michael is excited to see his sister stand by his and Elizabeth's side on their big day!

Mike Nuzzo

Groomsman

Michael and Michael (Mike) met in high school. They became friends over their love of home poker games, having the same name, and of course, music. They both love music, whether it be playing an instrument or just listening to a new song. Their friendship has continued to remain strong throughout the years, as the groom and Mike enjoy their golf outings together (we're all shocked!), and even attending tournaments together, like the Diamond Resorts Invitational in 2019. Michael and Elizabeth also enjoy their frequent dinner dates with their "couple BFFs", Mike and his wonderful wife, Hannah. Michael remembers being there for Mike’s wedding day and he is very excited that Mike will be a part of his!

Kaleigh DeHart

Bridesmaid

Kaleigh was the bride's roommate in Orlando. In addition to living together, they also worked at the same PR agency. Essentially, they had one giant sleepover for 2.5 years! The girls spent many nights exploring downtown Orlando, cheering each other on in hot yoga class, or watching movies together at home (Kaleigh would obviously need to give Elizabeth a high level overview of any scary movie before she watched it, so she knew what to expect.). Basically, they were inseparable. Kaleigh has watched Michael and Elizabeth's love story from the beginning. In fact, she watched out the window as Michael picked Elizabeth up for their first date and waited up for her to get home to hear all the details.

Stephanie Rasmussen

Bridesmaid

Stephanie is Michael's sister. Elizabeth loves spending time with Stephanie, whether they stay in or go out, they're always giggling. Elizabeth's favorite memory with Stephanie is when they celebrated Stephanie's birthday in St. Augustine this past year. Stephanie can make anyone feel welcomed and loved, and just like her sister, throws an incredible party. Mostly, the bride is excited to get two new sisters out of this deal! Michael and Elizabeth are both so excited that Stephanie is part of the best day of their lives.

Adam Scharf

Groomsman

Adam is the bride’s sister’s fiancé, and also a great friend of Michael’s. The two share a love of New York baseball, albeit for opposing teams. Adam and Michael enjoyed a riveting subway series this season between the Mets and Yankees, and they also share a love of film, music, and a fine cigar. Michael is honored to have Adam as a part of this special day.

Kayla Prasek

Bridesmaid

Kayla is one of Elizabeth's older cousins. Kayla has always been Elizabeth's go-to when it comes to all things hair and make-up and general life advice. In fact, Liz grew up watching her and Melissa play with makeup kits that Kayla wouldn't be caught dead with now. She's the only way that Elizabeth knows anything about pop-culture. Kayla and Liz went to the University of South Dakota together and Kayla convinced her to join Alpha Xi Delta, a decision Liz has never regretted. Now, Kayla also works at the same PR firm as Elizabeth and Melissa in Orlando, FL.

Robert Taylor

Groomsman

Michael met Robert through Elizabeth (and Bridesmaid, Victoria!) and connected through their love of the City Beautiful and through their alma mater, UCF! (Go Knights!). Michael's favorite memories with Robert are UCF tailgates and alumni events, and of course, enjoying the nightlife and local restaurants in downtown Orlando. Now that Robert is living out his dreams in Philadelphia, Michael can't wait to become a 76ers and an Eagles fan. Well... maybe not...but he's excited for the Philly Cheesesteaks! Michael is so excited that Robert has a reason to return to Florida and will be there for his wedding day!

Claire Wieger

Bridesmaid

Elizabeth met Claire while working at Camp Foster. They were co-counselors during "Christmas in July". (If you know the bride at all... you know where this is going!) They spent the week wearing red and green exclusively, picking a small Christmas tree shrub out for their cabin and waking up the entire camp at 7am with Christmas carols (Little Drummer Boy). Claire and Liz had more fun than the girls in their cabin that week. The week ended but there was an unspoken agreement that they would be life long friends. Now, they take turns visiting each other about every six months. Each visit reminds Elizabeth of how thankful she is to have Claire in her life.

Steven Schwartz

Groomsman

Michael met Steven (Stevie) in high school. They spent hundreds of hours together after school and during the summer playing poker, going to concerts, and hanging around Steven’s neighborhood. As they got older, they spent plenty of nights downtown at Bar-BQ-Bar (RIP) on Orange Avenue. Now that the boys have become "men", they frequent the golf course, rather than Bar-BQ-Bar. However, their friendship has never lost its goofy and fun-loving touch. Having Stevie stand by the groom's side was a must!

Victoria Watson

Bridesmaid

Victoria was Elizabeth's first Orlando friend. They met at their first "adult" job after college. On Elizabeth's first day, Victoria cornered her in the bathroom and whispered "I'M NEW HERE TOO". They've been BFF's ever since. From margarita dates to more margarita dates, the two have solidified their friendship through copious amounts of queso and chips.

Jaclyn Bertrand

Bridesmaid

The bride met Jaclyn at their first "adult job" at a PR agency. They bonded over their love for the #midwest and their love of fancy wine. From wine and movie nights, to OrangeTheory classes, and everything in between, Jaclyn has become a close friend to the bride. Elizabeth is so excited that Jaclyn is going to stand next to her on her wedding day.
