Eric and I both attended Bethany College and met my freshman year at the local bar called Bubba's. From the moment I first saw Eric I knew he was definitely my type but knew he was the guy everyone referred to as that "really good" football player and was kinda nervous to talk to him. After seeing each other a couple times around campus and often at the bar, Eric slid into my DM's and asked me for my number. We then began talking and meeting up before we would go out with friends. From there our relationship grew so much and had so much in common about what we both wanted in life. It was really easy being with each other and have been together ever since! Thank You Bethany for letting me find my person.
Weeks before the propsal, Eric told me a photographer who is a family friend, asked him if we were available to take pictures. (Of course I said yes!!) Days before the proposal I had gotten my nails done. I had told Eric a long time ago if he ever decided to propose to me I would like to have my nails done for the pictures (high maintenance..I know.) Leigh, Eric's mom, called me one day and asked me if I would like to go get my nails done in her place from her neighbor who runs a nail salon. Again of course I said yes, I'll definitely get my nails done for free! So I went to get my nails done a couple days before we were suppose to get these pictures. The day of, it was pouring down the rain and I asked if we would still be getting the pics because the roads were pretty bad but Eric said yes today was the only day it worked for everybody. We drove to Bethany in the pouring rain and met up with the photographer who began taking our pictures. She asked if we had a favorite spot on campus that would be good for the pictures. We took her to Old Main. She wanted me to go first and told me to act like I was walking and then slowly turn around so she could get some action shots. Well, when I turned around Eric was on one knee and asked me to marry him on September 9, 2018! I was so excited and shocked. I had no idea this whole thing was a set up from me getting my nails done to doing a "favor" for a friend. He definitely knocked it out of the park. I am one lucky girl.
