The irony of Andrew + Laura's meeting was that they had both lived in Kirkland, WA for a couple years, going to the same bars and restaurants, and on the same dating apps. It wasn't until Laura and her roommate Ali threw a party to celebrate their time living together coming to an end, and the two of them moving out of Kirkland, that Laura and Andrew finally met. After hours of wine consumption, Laura and her friends headed to the dive-iest bar downtown Kirkland had to offer and happened to run into Andrew and his friends. Laura immediately honed in on Andrew at first glance, and the two of them hit it off all night. That was, until the next morning...and Laura had no recollection of meeting Andrew (again, it was a night of many glasses of wine). Andrew had texted Laura to tell her that she had left her clutch with him and would meet up with her to give it back. At this point, Andrew had already been smitten and wanted to go on a date with Laura, but she wasn't so sure. It wasn't until Laura saw Andrew to get her clutch, that immediately she was taken by his big green eyes, heart-stopping smile, and overcome by his radiating charm and warmth. Seriously, she was weak in the knees and could barely speak. They set up their first official date for the next week, and the rest is history. Over the last 4 years, they have traveled, played millions of board and card games, bought homes and renovated them, survived the COVID-19 pandemic challenges, raised animals, supported each other through all accomplishments big or small, worked through the not-so-fun stuff, and loved each other every second of it all.
