We met through Match.com, and immediately hit it off! Our first date was at Greek Jalapeno in Waterford, on the same day we started talking online. It took a few dates to really get the ball rolling, but after just 4...we were hooked!

We decided to take a weekend away, and drove up to Frankenmuth for a few days. While we were there, we took a horse & carriage ride, had a beautiful dinner together, and decided to walk back to the hotel since it was so nice outside. On the way, Nate wanted to go down by the water, so we headed down behind some of the buildings. In the pitch black of night, Nate suggested we take a selfie. (I should have known right then, since he never takes selfies!) Anyway, he took a few photos, then had me look for "approval". It took a few images for me to notice... he had been holding a ring right next to my face the whole time! Then he got down on one knee, and the rest is history! The best part, though... I had asked if that was his plan all along, and he told me he wanted to make that date special because of a story I had told him a few years before. My first license plate had my grandmother's name, Ada, and the numbers 4619. I had always wondered if there was something about that date that would be important. I was shocked he had remembered such a silly story, but absolutely loved that he did!!
