Our relationship began in ninth grade French class at Birchmount C.I. After about a year of sharing classes and getting to know each other (Landon's vetting period), it wasn’t until the middle of tenth grade that we took a leap and let our friendship blossom into something more. On New Year’s Eve 2013, just after the clock struck midnight, Landon asked Victoria to be his girlfriend! We dated throughout high school and into post-secondary, navigating four years of long-distance. We visited each other every three to four weeks, making the most of FaceTime whenever we could. Most nights, we would fall asleep on a call, waking up to the sound of each other’s alarms. Finally, in the fall of 2019, we were back in the same city. Victoria returned to school for her graduate program and stayed with the Browns during the week to shorten her commute and spend more time with Landon. When the pandemic hit, we settled in together in Landon’s parents' basement. A few months later, Victoria brought home our first cat, Eddie, who quickly stole our hearts and demanded plenty of attention. In November 2021, we moved into our own cozy apartment in North York, thrilled to have our own space and the chance to create our own routines. Shortly after settling in, we adopted our second cat, Keeda, in December 2021, completing our little family and giving Eddie a new best friend. After nearly a year in the apartment, we were ready for more space and set our sights on homeownership. The search for our first home was long, but in November 2022, we officially closed the sale. The house needed some TLC, but we were excited for the challenge! After about eight months of renovations, we finally finished two-thirds of the house. Its safe to say we are very grateful to have a dishwasher - and we have officially made this house a home! With a Sparks family vacation to Maui, Hawaii, on the horizon in December 2023, Landon saw the perfect opportunity to propose. He coordinated with Victoria's sister, Mackenzie, to suggest a mini sunset photo op on the beach. Without letting any suspicion build, Landon got down on one knee and asked the most important question of his life. Luckily for him, she said yes! After twelve wonderful years together, we’re excited to announce that we will tie the knot on September 20th, 2025, at Marsden Farm, owned by Landon’s cousins Colin and Heather Brown, to whom we are incredibly grateful for their hospitality. We sincerely hope you can join us to celebrate our big day!
