What to do when you're not hanging out with us and other important info.
We recommend Venturi for certified Neapolitan pizza (and good cocktails); Los Primos and El Camino Real for authentic Mexican food; The Electric Brew for coffee; Common Spirits for cocktails; Goshen Brewing Company for brews and dinner; The Chief for ice cream; the Olympia Candy Kitchen or South Side Soda Soda for an old-school dinner (that was on Food Network!); JoJo's for soft pretzels and honey mustard; Wasabi for Japanese; The Oasis or Biebs & Ash for burgers; Maple Indian for stellar Indian food; and Elephant Bar or Constant Spring for drinks--to name a few. Good of Goshen has a complete list of restaurants: https://goodofgoshen.com/local-food-drink/goshen-restaurant-guide/
*Goshen Farmers Market (lots of local vendors, happens Saturday mornings) *23rd Annual Pumpkinvine Bike Ride (happening Saturday morning June 17). Bike 5 to 50 miles through pretty Amish countryside; pie and ice cream at the end. Highly recommend. More info on pumpkinvine.org *Shop downtown at Found, Ignition Garage, Soapy Gnome, The Imagination Spot, Fables Books, Jules Boutique, Shirley's Popcorn, etc. *Walk along the Mill Race and the Goshen Dam *Check out Goshen College campus (where Kate went to school!) *Take a 20-minute drive to Shipshewana Flea Market and see some Amish Country (you'll probably pass a few horse and buggies). The Walmart in Goshen also supposedly has the only Amish horse stable in the country.
The short answer: Nope (other than a few select family and friends' kids). We absolutely welcome any guests who have a baby or toddler who won't need an additional seat to themselves. The venue will have a few high chairs and booster seats. While we wish we could accommodate all kids who need seats, Red Tail has a strict numbers cap.
Our event will be mostly outdoors, with open air spaces in the reception venue for plenty of air flow. That being said, please make sure you are vaccinated (and boosted, ideally) and stay home if you aren't feeling well. We will not require masks but ask that everyone be respectful of everyone else's choices. If you would like to make sure you are seated closer to the open areas, send an email to let us know at landonandkate@gmail.com!
The short answer is, you probably need access to a car. Email us at landonandkate@gmail.com if you want us to connect you with others who will be there with a vehicle that weekend to share rides.
